for burnley:
mccarthy/lonergren
connolly Paddy Lees Parker
brown
sam clayton pugh townsend
becchio
subs: odea, mccormack, mccarthy/lonergren, nunez, white
out with white. im sorry but too lightweight for the championship. paddy and lees will be a good blend between experience and youth, carthorse and athleticism.
sam, clayton, pugh and townsend will form a solid looking midfield with enough defensive qualities aswell as attacking. brown distributing and tackling behind them. becchio leads the line just a bit better than mccormack. he will be dropped/rested.
this is our best and strongst possible team

You aren't understanding me.
The reason why Snoddy plays well is because he has some good support from his RB. When Lees played at RB he didn't attack and that was Snoddy's bad (compared to his usual form) patch.
If our full backs don't attack our wingers will suffer. Part of a full backs game is to provide support for the wingers. This will mean you want Snoddy trying to take on 2 or 3 players on the wing with no options
You're showing a lack of knowledge of football here.

What about Grayson showing a lack of football knowledge?
Grayson has always preferred full backs who defend, and has regularly played centre halves there.
Earlier in the season we were playing with Lees at right-back and O'Dea at left-back.
Bromby had a long spell at right-back and Carl Dickinson was a left-back who never went past the half way line.

Anti you have not a clue about the game. Connolly and parker are a perfectly balanced in defensive/agressive ability as full backs.
Your making an argument out of nothing just for the sake of disagreeing.
Grow up. That team that i posted would do damage to burnley without a doubt.
and grayson out is right our squad is imbalanced in certain positions. I mean we have no other option besides connolly for rght back as is the same for right midfield when snodgrass is injured.

Lees is our best centre-half and he's been playing right-back when Connolly has been fit.

Snoddy was a mere shadow of himself without Connolly.
If our full backs don't attack, our wingers fill suffer. I am more than confident of that and I am more than confident than no manager above the junior leagues would implement a system like that.

Haha, are you on a wind-up?
That's exactly what Grayson does!

M.O.P, I think he has me blocked, please tell him that's what Grayson does.
Point out that one of his first signings was a left-back who never went past the half way line.
Point out that we had centre-halves as full backs for a spell this season.

I signed out just to see your filtered comment. I will only do this once.
As a Season Ticket at Elland Road, and a common presence at the away games, it has become clear to me that you do not attend Leeds United games.
On the right wing when attacking Connolly moves forward into the right wing role to give Snoddy the back pass option if he hits a dead end.
On the left wing Pugh and White alternate. If one attacks the other drops, the one who isn't attacking stays on the left side of midfield providing a back pass option in the case that the attacking player hits a dead end.
If you believe that our full backs are commanded, and do stay back and not attack. Then that is proof to me that you do not attend games, White is the most attacking full back I have seen at Elland Road for quite a few years. Connolly is less attacking but he does fullfill he role as a RB, which is not totally defensive. A full backs role is to defend to flank but also to provide support to the winger when his team is attacking

And also yes we have had CB's at full backs as this season. But that is proof that M.O.P's system of having full backs not attack will not work. Snoddy's least successful period of this season was when Lees was playing RB. Whilst he did attack, remember he got an assist with a nice cross onto McCormack's head, he wasn't as attacking as a full back should be. This is proof that the system been suggested on this post will not work.
Before you start saying that it's Grayson's fault that he played a CB at RB, may I point out that we only actually have one RB. We have Connolly and two CB's who can play RB in Lees and Bromby.

I'm not talking about how Connolly or White and Pugh play.
You're right, White is the most attacking full back we've seen in years, and Grayson ignored him for three years and only played him when he had no other option!
Lees didn't play right-back because Connolly was injured, Grayson dropped him twice in favour of Lees, when Lees is our best central defender, too!
