The ref last night was a joke, Barry got sent off for less fouls than Adam. Even the BBC describe his last foul as innocuous.
Then the penalty incident was ridiculous, if the ref thinks it was a foul Skrtel must get booked, surely??. If the ref thinks he denied a goal scoring opportunity then Skrtel should have been off. How can running through on goal not be a "goal scoring opportunity",????
For anyone who doubts that Skrtel fouled Yaya Toure or that Yaya was through on goal, follow this link and be honest. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0vRsrffjyY
it clearly shows Skrtel catching Yaya and that Yaya had made his run towards goal.
Consistency.
All we want is consistency

No players were abused last night, good for Liverpool that makes a nice change.

My Granddad played for City, I've always liked them and I hope you do win the league.
He'd be ashamed to have you as a fan though, you're scúm.

Why am I sc um?? unlike you lot I wont go running to the mods, all you can do is name call.
I am ashamed of Liverpool FC over the last few weeks as are pretty much everyone who's not one of you're fans, so who's sc um here.
Liverpool used to have class an decorum and were a fine example to all clubs, not after Suarez though.

It's the handball in the first half that I can't understand. The hand was above the defenders head - nothing given. Then a few minutes later we get a free kick for the ball hitting the Liverpool players upper-arm!
LIke the OP says - all we want is consistency.

In todays Daily Mail the former ref G. Poll has said that Skirtle should have been booked for that challenge on Yaya, and as he had already been booked he should also have recieved a red card. However he also said that G. Barry was rightly sent off.
G. Poll just couldn't understand how the ref could have been so inconsistant with his decisaions.

I personally think that a penalty awarded and a yellow is enough punishment. Bringing in was it DOGSO just makes the decision even more difficult for the ref who is under enough pressure at that time. I am sure this causes more mistakes to be made with the ref trying to keep a full complement on the field.

Last night Mike Jones the ref made alot of monumental mistakes most of them in favour of Liverpool. At the start of the season all refs were told that if the arms are away from the body and are above waist and the ball strikes the arm then the result must be a penalty, which the ref failed to follow the rules. It also should have been a booking for the handball as well.
