political correctness

i cant help but think the world needs to lighten up on the race card.
racism has no place in modern society or any other, but it also needs to be put into perspective.
im a proud yorkshireman who tells it straight (no surprises there then), where i grew up if someone rubbed you up the wrong way, you would take a look at said person and call him a name by a distinguishing mark, ie you fat b.....d, you skinny c..t, ginger haired t..t etc. so its not that far fetched in this multi cultural society to see someones colour first, and respond to them in that tone.
im not saying its right by any stretch of the imagination but is it right to call someone a ginger haired c..t either.
i read a report recently where a white man called a black guy the appalling n word, now no doubt thats not acceptable, but the report went on to say that this black guy said that the white guy had thought long and hard and these words came deep from the soul.......i dont believe that for 1 second, they were just words off the cuff.
now im sure this could be taken out of context, but im not a racist and hate any form of social rejection through race or religion but lets get real, its not a deep thought out racism situation its a response in anger no different to calling someone big nose or fatty.
the liverpool v oldham game where a racist comment was made springs to mind, apparently the individual has been arrested for his comments after the police made an investigation into the incident.........yet my car was stolen and the police wont even come to see me. its definately a topsy turvey world.

what im trying to get at is, its not deep rooted racism its petty name calling ala school playground.

dont we all remember the school chant........
sticks and stones may break my bones, but calling names wont hurt me.

so lets all lighten up and all get along......ok.......sorted.

i find it odd when people north of watford vote for Maggie's lot. the only thing cameron would see fit to do with McWoanz and his crackhead friends would be as some sort of lab rat for the drugs of the downbeat.

Oh and the investigation will not be doing anything as the chant wasn't racist, stupid certainly but racist no.

is a chant a chant if only one person's singing it?
"The supporter was immediately silenced by other Barnsley followers".
Barnsley fans, as I'm sure spart knows, are subhuman skum. But get it right, there was only 12 fingers clapping along to this one.

Still bad however many were doing and I'm pretty sure it'd be more than one because you're quite right with your description of Barnsley fans
