Mancini the hypocrite

Just seen the article on the BBC site about Mancini accusing Rooney of getting Kompany sent off. First of all, I don't think that the tackle was too bad, but under the laws of the game it was a red card. It does seem harsh as it was a good tackle - but the ref has no choice in those situations. Players know the rules and Kompany has no-one to blame but himself.

As for Rooney (and Welbeck) having a word with the ref - I don't agree with it one bit and I would like to see ref's booking players that ask for cards for opponent players.

However, Mancini having a go at Rooney for getting Kompany sent off is a bit rich after his antics against Liverpool last week. I've never seen any other manager in England do something like that and I was disappointed in him as I think he has handled himself well since coming to England. If he doesn't want see players trying to influence the refs then he needs to get his own house in order first.

Rio wasn't facing a 4 match ban though.

We lost Fletch for the CL final in Rome because of a bad ref decision. It happens. Kompany's was far ,ore marginal than Fletch's was too

I get why you're peeved but there are far worse decisions and as I have said before, he gave the ref a decision to make when he didn't need to

like Rooney said, The refs made it known to clubs at the beginning of the season that two footed, studs up challenges are straight reds.

Fair enough but how does that concern Kompany when his studs weren't up and the tackle wasn't 2 footed?

Forget that pic, here's a gif showing the whole tackle:

Which I think I posted on this thread many pages ago.

Binky I take it you get very little meaningful attention in your life, bless?
