You mean you haven't seen managers caught on camera doing that. Just check out how many times Wenger and Fergie are in the 4th officals face when something goes against them.
Typical rag, how about fergie pressuring refs all the time, at least Mancini apologised will Wayne?

It's not good to see from players (or managers) but you'd hope the referee was going to make that decision anyway. (2 feet off the ground, studs up = red card nowadays)

Probably not. Do any players ever apologise for such actions? Doesn't stop Mancini being a hypocrite does it?
Mancini apologised straight after the game and said he was wrong to do it.
Will Shrek do the same???? I won't hold my breath
The fact that Barry had just received a second (unwarranted) yellow card probably had something to do with it. Barry's second offence wasn't even a foul but he was sent off- 90 seconds later Skrtyl, who was last man brought down Yaya in the area and didn't even get a talking to.
no problem with the placement of kompanys right boot, It was a a cleanly won tackle in that regard but he did have his left boot off the ground studs showing that was unnecessary and could have caused major damage to nani if contact had been made...
Will De Jong, Kolarov, Zabaleta etc apologise for crowding the ref over a soft penalty shout by Jones? Ball bounced off his leg and hit his arm, no way was it intentional.
Was Lescott's handball at Stamford bridge intentional when it was blasted at him and ultimately cost us a point?
Can't even remember that game, what's it got to do with ours anyway? Every club suffer at the hands of refs, look at Everton vs Sunderlad a few weeks back. Webb gave a penalty to Everton because baines tripped in the box, but because 3 Mackems surrounded him it was a penalty. Ref's are pure idiots, and they cost us points from time to time.
at least Mancini apologised will Wayne?
--------------------------
Maybe I'm a little bit stupid but can you explain to me why Wayne should say sorry?
I don't recall seeing Wayne holding aloft a red card, or for that matter jumping in two footed. Get that fecking lemon out of your mouth, you lost, the decision wasn't great but then ref's make mistakes. If you or Bobby seriously think that Rooney got the lad sent off, you are an utter fool.
I don't recall seeing Rooney encourage the city captain to go in two footed, or perhaps I missed it?
Ah cityblueloz, sad little wumpty wumfi'd me a few weeks back, but I see a new year hasn't changed him from the sad bitter little boy he was in 2011
Bless him using the "Yeah but what about YOUR person" defence, when the OP is correct in what he says about Mankini.

Oh ok. We asked for consistency but apparently, consistency doesn't apply if it happened to concern your team.
I don't think refs are ever consistent in games, they always have bad games.
So they're consistently bad?
I don't think it should have been a red card. But I don't think that Rooney's gesture was quite in the category of the card waving we see all too often, let alone a cynical 'get him sent off' attempt. It looked like a reflex call, the kind of 'Ref!' shout almost every player does when they reckon they've seen something that should go in their favour. Also, Rooney and the referee were looking at the incident from the same angle and maybe it looked worse from where they were standing. Rooney is obviously showing two fingers as to show it was a two-footed challenge. The referee was already running towards the player having apparently made up his mind by the time Rooney made his gesture so I don't think there is any question of him influencing the decision.
All in all, if I were a City fan, I'd be talking about how the decision changed the game and how well my side came back in the second half, rather than demonising Rooney.

Debatable but not always, they have a few good games of course but it doesn't last for a while. It's like they're programmed to be carp after a certain amount of good games.
what was up with the refs positioning in the second half of the game. The number of times utd player had to pass around him he was almost like an extra city defender sitting in front of the city back line
The vast majority of netrals and City fans think it shouldn't have been a red but that's been and gone. What hasn't been decided is Kompamy's ban which will mean he'll miss the Spurs match if it's allowed to stand and I can't see that being much of an advantage to United if his absence influences the result in any way.

It was a red under the laws of the game. Whether those laws are correct is a different matter. The ref had no choice - if he uses his common sense and only gives a yellow card then he gets punished by the FA and probably doesnt ref a game next week. Its a touch position for him.
Kompanys left boot is the problem. Its a technique thats crreping into the game for players to subtly use a trailing leg to put a lad out of the game while appearing to cleanly win the ball with the tackling leg. Only for nanis athleticism he could have been put out of the game.

Whereas I can think of a new United signing that don't even bother with disguising with a trailing leg.
No one is accusing Rooney for card-waving or even doing anything wrong. He simply reacted to Kompany's tackle just as any other opposing player would in that situation.
I think the point Mancini is trying to make is that Foy seemed to have absolutely no intention of brandishing a card until he heard Rooney complain. When you watch it, he really does seem to have a sudden change of heart. And that isn't Rooney's fault (and I don't think Mancini is suggesting it is); it is Chrisy Foy's fault for being so fickle.
Incidently, I happen to think it was a red card (Kompany should know that you can't take such risks, and winning the ball doesn't automatically make a tackle fair) and I don't blame Rooney for calling it; what I don't agree with is the way Foy seemed to change his mind so sharply on the basis of Rooney's reaction.
