England XI 181/5 v PCB XI

Good morning people!

A great start for Pakistan removing both Strauss & Trott very early! England came back hard with Cook steadying the innings & Pietersen hitting the ball nicely.

Pakistan then took three quick England wickets (not too sure if it was good bowling or poor batting) with Morgan failing to impress once again..

England then bounced back from the flurry of wickets with the ever reliable Cook anchoring the innings & scoring steadily with Prior at the other end playing his usual fast paced & aggressive game.

I am getting very excited about this series, England batting has looked below par but their bowling looks very good. Pakistan have undoubtedly improved since the last time the two sides met & they have the "home conditions" advantage.

Good luck to both teams!

What is the chance we will go with 2 spinners....

Drop Morgan and play Prior at 6 with Broad at 7 with 2 more quicks and the 2 spinners.

Could be interesting...

Anyone have a live stream of the game, or are you refreshing the BBC scorecard like me?

I would go with Swann and Monty...but reckon they will stick to tried and tested for the 1st test

England should go with 2 spinners. Pak batsman have always been suspect to a left arm spinner like Vettori, Herath and with Bressie injured he should come ahead the 3 paceman.

This is going to be a tough test for england bowlers. Mostly because england are not going to get those wickets in a span of 50 overs as they have mostly done in in the last one year or so. Its going to test the players patience as well. But that said looking foward to see ajmal vs england
