"United" we stand?

If Wednesday win their (one) game in hand and the MK Dons win their (two) games in hand, we will all have played 27 games and be seperable only by goal difference.

Whilst this might be uncomfortable for us - and a source of great amusement to the likes of Charlton - it does suggest a very good, competitive league, which we should all take pride in being part of.

No doubt we will all have our own views on who will be 2nd and who will be 5th come May, but those 4 spots will almost certainly comprise our 4 current clubs - Stevenage will by at least 8 points back and Charlton at least 7 points ahead, so, how will it unravel and which side (other than your own) would you choose to be 2nd.

For me, if I couldn't pick Wednesday, it would be Huddersfield - I clearly couldn't pick United and I have issues with the formation of the MK Dons, but I like Huddersfield as a proper club for proper fans - though I'm not sure about the somewhat meccano-y ground - and I think they deserve a shot at the bigger time

Why? I always think they're going to stuff us 4-0. Law of averages.

That's why I don't want to play them in the play-offs - in case the unthinkable was to happen. The '93 semi remains the biggest game in Sheffield football history, I'd hate them win what could well be the 2nd biggest!

I'd be less confident against 'udders simply because they're a bit of a bogey side for us at present. Having said that, so were Brentford the last time we were in this division - until the play-offs when we took care of them fairly comfortably.

.......going on to sign Deon Burton..

There's plenty of games to go - Danny Wilson's ponies will fall away just like 'Udders.

We are Meggos Machine - grinding out the results, whirring and clunking away in an 'athletic' fashion. Just like Sir Ralph Halpern we have that seven times a night staying power.

Up The Owls!!!!

Nah we like to support charity its good to give away the odd late goal.

Keeps the fingernails short!

And injury time should be changed to "here have an equalizer" time.

he might as well have a roll around because he hasnt been able to play for a few years now..

i like the idea of blaming the ref when two teams of so called "adults" start pushing each other and mouthing off..

make em all go and stand in the corner and "think about what they did"..might be an idea???

The Charlton sending off.......another ridiculous refereeing decision!

In response to the very pertinent comment by Mr. Hooker, I should point out that we don't do Play-offs or Semi-Finals - in over fifty years of watching them, they've yet to turn up.

I trust that your fears are now fully allayed, and that this bulletin has been of assistance.
