Apparently Webb admitted he didnt see the Lescott thuggery, but after reviewing the incident decided that it didnt merit a red card, so no charge.

The wonder is how the hell did Lescott get off. Apparently Webb said he would not have sent him off even if he had seen it.

No wonder he is considered a joke of a ref. A clear elbow to the face, and he would not have sent him off. A complete and utter joke.

Webb is the most cowardly ref in England. Never makes the big calls. It's easy to say he didn't see anything at the time, but after say Balotelli deserved a red with all the furor over the incident, but to say Lescott didn't deserve one is pathetic.

But that's how things are in the modern game...it's all about who you are and how the media decides to portray you.

He might have a point there - where's Lescott's punishment? what about John Terry's media shaming for criminal charges of racism?? I wouldn't say football is institutionally racist, that could get me in trouble..

I've seen it and it's blatant. This reinforces my belief that footballers are thick. He knew he was on television and can be seen in action replay yet he still goes ahead and does it. Dimwits most of them.

FA punishments for stuff like Balotelli and Lescott are just slaps on the wrist.
Unfortunately its the clubs that tell the FA what to do.
So I blame the clubs for lack of control ..... not the refs.

Balottelli should be docked a month's wages and banned for the rest of the season.
