Went a little unnoticed that Ajmal reached a minor landmark of 100 test wickets which is the quickest from all the modern era and past with Botham being the most recent in 1979 to reach that landmark. That's a great achievement and it's just a shame he's 34 now. Well done Ajjy!!!

Ajmal Quickest Mordern Test Bowler To 100

Ajmal is possibly the most overrated cricketer of all time, he reminds me of Ian Salisbury.

Tbf I could spin the ball if I bent my arm as much as he does!!! He may as well take a bowling machine out there with him and claim its legal

The England batsman can pick the bowling machine and its turn but they cant pick Ajmal. Sour grapes

Not sour grapes at all have more important things to worry about. Just satin I think his actions takes the pissh!! England may as well nick Roy Halladay from phillie and Let him pitch some!!!
Either you have to have a straight arm or you don't simple. None of this well we let him do it but not him or it's only a little bit so theyre allowed. For me there's only one true great and that's Shane Warne!

To be fair kash, bob willis and simon Hughes apart, no-one has made an issue out of it. No ex-players, current player, respected pundits and even the English fans I know and speak to haven’t used it as an excuse. Ajmal was around at the Oval in 2010 and England struggled to pick him on that occasion – no-one mentioned his action then either.
Fact is England got done due to poor technique, the vast majority of them playing on the back foot in their crease. Clueless. Just to add, the 2nd game wasn’t lost to Ajmal, it was Rehman the destroyer this time – just no excuse.
There have many controversies between eng-pak over the last 20 years, but no matter how hard some people try to blow this out of proportion – this just isn’t one of them….. Clutching at straws.
Just on a side note, in the ODI series paks will have 4 quality spinners on show – Hafeez, ajmal, rehman and the Boom boom – now that’s one hell of an attack, considering how afridis been playing in the last 18 months!!!

Afridi it was not just Willis and Hughes but also Agnew and that skysportnews correspondent who no matter who they spoke to the first question they asked was about Ajmals action. Your right that it was Raymond that destroyed England with orthadox spin.
As for the one day series we do have a strong spin attack and Afridi, Ajmal and Hafeez all did damage and lets not forget your best buddy Malik and his off spin if selected .
I can't see Rehman playing much to be honest and we need more batsman.

The moment the ICC, in their wisdom, allowed any and all bowlers to deliver a ball by bending and straightening their arm 15 degrees, they legalized throwing.
Now I defy anyone to adjudge whether an arm is bent and straightened slightly greater than 15 degrees to put their hand up. With the naked eye it's impossible to make this judgement unless the the arm is excessively bent.
Personally watching on television, I cannot see whether Ajmal bends and straightens his arm at all and I doubt anyone else can.
