goes he leaves behind a trail of destuction.
Many forest fans are begging to get him back, cant they see what he did to Preston and Derby, yeah he got us up, and its taken till this season to get us back right, both in the team and financially.
Forest fans actually seem like they care more for Billy than their own club, they are that deluded that he shares no blame in their current situation, he single handedly turn the fans against the board, so ND said thats that, and is not gonna support them anymore.
Yet instead of supporting their manager, they sing for the arrogant t**t.
If they think that is supporting their club then they deserve to go down
What is it with Billy Davies where ever he.

Ah well I've said it before....the fans love me down at the ground. We only need 4 or 5 stella signings and this team, albeit, still learning, and very young can, will be good enough one day to challenge for a top spot. I've said it time and again it's just a matter of time before we identify players that are good enough for Nottingham Forest. This team deserves to be in the Premiersh..........
Shut it Billy....... bog off back to Scotland

Mos, I said something similar to that...though Billy did a lot wrong, there is a lot to be thrown Jewells way as well.

I'm surprised there are a few Forest fans on here who see BD for what he is. Fair play to you guys.
Another thing to think about is why has your chairman now decided to leave? 2 years of working with that manipulative little **** would be enough to do anyone's swede in.

ever considered that Billy has a talent that both his predecessors and successors dont?

I think a lot of it's as simple as that. Billy not the nicest of blokes so people like to blame him for things that aren't his fault.
The truth is, if you have a Manager of proven ability at this level, like Billy. You sack him and appoint a proven failure like Cotternil you not going to be as good.

That's a pretty good assessment of BD. I thought it was odd that Pemberton was let go as soon as Davies joined and only McGugan, who was already emerging, was the only home-grown player developed by Davies.
I think Davies & Jewell equally culpable for Derby's mess. Davies spent £15-20m and apart from the money recouped from the sales of Earnshaw & Miller (whose wages at Rangers were partly subsidised by Derby), losses were made: Claude Davies, Feilhaber etc. Jewell wasted a parachute payment (best part of £10m plus Jan 08) and his January signings were costly. In terms of resources, Davies much more costly.
I would give Davies a little leeway over Preston as Paul Simpson & Irvine followed him and I'm not sure I'd blame Billy for Preston's downfall, though I wish Davies had shown more of the shrewdness regarding signings that he did at Deepdale (£100k for Nugent).
In short, Davies can achieve quick/short term results but brings dissension, and seems to work against boards rather than with them. I think there is a genuine question mark over his abilities to manage without sufficient resources. He was offered the Derby job in 2005, but distanced himself due to our financial situation. He moved to us in 2006 after new owners probably attracted him with the offer of transfer funds.

Just like to add that Bolder/Tougher Than You made some excellent points as well.

Aye aye Cap'n,
Funny you should mention Nugent, I was thinking the other day has he done much since?
I was talking to a Preston fan the other day and Claude's name came up, he said he's still an absolute legend at Preston, another player who can't play without BD's brand of 'motivation'?
