fergie shows ravel what hard work gets you

a first team appearance and fans cheering you on! wer u watching ravel? was sad to see to ravel leave after being touted a big talent, but clearly his attitude/ego wasnt good enough, we've still to tie down pogba but he hasnt complained publicly and has continued to work hard in the reserve team and has been rewarded with his first premier league appearance, where he showed glimpses of what he can do

a good performances by the players today, felt our style of play has been more assured and controlled last few games, unlucky to have lost against liverpool, today's MOTM for me has to be scholes, kept the play ticking nicely

SAF's comments suggest that he's allowed this move in Morrison's best interests, which is admirable. Getting out of Manchester from all his muggy friends will probably do him the world of good. I still hope he fulfills his potential, regardless of where he plys his trade.

Don't get me wrong i hope he does well and gets the career that his talents deserve, but when Ravel was in the docks a while ago he was in the courtroom on his own, no one from the club was there to support him (as reported by Daniel Taylor in the guardian last week)and i don't think a move to East London is going to do him to many favors in terms of life style, i think SAF has washed his hands of him.

I sincerely hope he does well in his career though, when young lads go of the rails (although some stories have been exaggerated) it's not always there fault, lack of authority figures, surroundings, peer pressure can all be a factor growing up, but West Ham could be a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire with Ravel.

The chances are if Morrison had got his head down ,worked hard and sorted his attitude he could have been on 65k a week in the premier league in 4-5 years time with Manchester United, not West Ham, i know who i'd rather be playing for

65,000 multiplied by 52 multiplied by 4 equals to a sitload of money. compared to 4 yrs of working hard in the reserves playing at peteboro and hoping fergie gives you a chance at 22. yea, tough choice there

I'm not sure I understand what point you are trying to make here.

Utd helped make this kid the player he is but has decided to go elsewhere and you feel bad about this, why?

Do you think we would have let him go if he was worth the hassle?

Why did not big clubs sign him up then if he's the next Messi?

Good riddance to bad rubbish. If you can't bide your time and wait for your opportunity at Utd, you can fk off as far as I'm concerned.

Better players than him have been patient, established regulars as well. No one knows what will happen to this kid, he may be Ronaldo or a dud.

His attitude isn't needed at OT and people who are sad to see him go need their heads examined

I second this.

Manchester United, the biggest club in the world or West Ham the 4the biggest club in London, yeah it's a toughie isn't it

I've already stated that i hope he does well, but surely you'd want to stay at United and at least try and break into the first team and earn the same amount of money as you would at WHU.

better him than eikriems who shine and then are told to wait their turn and work hard, only to find out you will never get a chance.

you all are thinking like fans, rather than human beings. if i look around and almost everybody else of my talent level are playing more and earning more, what then makes me want to stay with the club? loyalty? prestige? were has it got the 100s of academy players who got 3-4 games, tons of loans to the middle of no were and a good bye.

you all seriously think this dream of playing for united should be an overriding concern for a player above securing your future in case of injuries? careers start 18 in football these days, you cannot afford to be behind the geriatrics now. exactly how much pleasure can you get from being a bit part player in a title winning club that will soon offload you when you serve no purpose to them? dont fool yourselves, playing for united is not what it used to be. its an honour no doubt, but berbatov with his titles will be wishing he did something different.

No midfield young talent in the club can look at the rate we are going and be happy with it, not in this era. barely get games, when you do if you eff up you are done which is almost always going to be the case because you barely get games. that above all is what is making pogba and morrison make all these noises. if they had played a few games like their counterparts at other clubs, they would actually see a chance. right now i dont see a chance for them. the only benefit to staying is the prestige of saying you play for united and a ridiculously small chance of making it, itwhopdedoo. compared to playing regularly and getting paid hansomely to do so? well i'll give you all one thing, you do love the club.

It's hard to argue with that. ^

I guess Fergie as a manager has his reasons, look at tosic, he looked ok in the reserves (and at international level for gawds sake!) but didnt seem to be given a chance.
Look at the end of the day playing for the UTD first team should be like getting into the SAS and thats how it should be playing for any of the top 10 teams in the world- these guys need to be the absolute elite- skill, athleticism , team working, following a game plan, never giving up. from what we know Morrison was way off the mark in many respects, thats a shame, but at least we can move on now and look at other long term solutions to our midfield.
