Ok with everything that's been happening acrosss the divide, they are in serious trouble of liquidation and not administration anymore. I was thinking about this and wondered what if?
So if Rangers were to just call it quits start a new team say rankers fc and started in third division "if allowed" would you still support them? given that all the history ie titles , euro cups and traditions where gone, consigned to the history books forever.
Would you still have the same feelings and support the new pheonix club or just watch the local junior team or the premiership on tv.
Same scenario for us celtic fans if all of the above where to happen, would you still have the same feeling for a whole new different club with a new beginning or just leave it ??
I am not too sure as to what i would do as i just don't think it would be the same feel to it?
I was born and bred a celtic man till the day i die and i love being a celtic fan But i am not sure i could just have the same feelings for a new club even if they are still called celtic in some way.
Whats everyones thoughts on this? i am still finding it hard to decide if i could give the same backing
Would you still be a fan

A mate of mine is a qualified SFA ref (one of the main reasons im always on here correction folk on the rules. Cause the nippy sweetie does it to me when we're watching games in the boozer!), and he looked into it a few weeks back. He said that the legislation would have any team that goes into liquidation would be relegated to the 3rd division.
The way that Rangers could get round this is by scrapping the club and re-applying to the SPL under a new name.
This would go to an SPL vote, which I'm assuming they'd win because the clubs need them.
However, if they go into liquidatoion and get relegated to the 3rd division 1st and then tried the 'phoenix club' route, they would re-enter at the 3rd division level.
Long way to go before this is even a possibility.

Pie - cant find the bbc article but it's what you mentioned regards an spl vote
If we go to liquidation etc, this is the likely outcome IMO. Reinstatem

The new company can apply to the spl. Think we all know they will be allowed back in. Third division etc ain't going to happen

Third division etc ain't going to happen.
It will have to happen if the SFA don't want to be seen as a laughing stock.....oh, wait.
