As i got in my car facing the drive home from Hartlepool alone earlier this season, after possibly the most boring game i'd ever seen, i for the first time asked if i had a problem.
I got the same feeling the day i woke up in Cornwall to hear the terrible news of the crash on the M5. I jumped straight in my car and drove like a loon for seven and a half hours without a stop before jumping out the car at B and Q at 2.55pm again to watch a very average game. Then again sitting at Tranmere on my Jack i wondered why am here?
But this weekend has been the final straw. I'm getting married in November i have refused to do it on a Saturday, because Town will be playing, so i booked it yesterday for a Friday to the disgust of most family and friends. But what really has made me look at myself was the news today that a friend had got me 1st class train tickets to London, club level tickets to Arsenal Milan and an overnight stay in a 5 star hotel. All free of charge. I politely had to decline because Huddersfield Town are playing Hartlepool United that night!
So my question is simple. Are we fans a bit nuts?
Huddersfield Townaholic?

There's nowt wrong with the singing section the way it is, it just needs more people who are wanting to sing to go sit there. The problem is that not many Town fans are willing to do that and are happy to sit in their own area of the stadium and have a good moan rather than a good time.

Lower tier of the FM gets my vote. I wouldn't be there in the naff seats but makes perfect sense to me and the atmosphere it could generate would be brilliant behind the goal. It seems very obvious?

Cas - Where on this thread has anybody said there is something wrong with the "singing section" the way it is ? More people to go and sit where ? Where are all these empty seats of which you speak ? Its an idea for another area of noise, But a full end, and an end behind the goal, our end, As at the moment it is a waste of an end. Keep your Drummer in the Kilner, That can remain the singing section, But lets have an end thats open to all behind the goal, Booothys right it would defo help the atmosphere.

Trouble is there is no cover, so it gets all the westerly winds and rain...full on ! You wouldn't catch me in that hell hole if it was free...but there again, you probably wouldn't want me.

Exactly Jacko it would only appeal to certain people, Tbh i cannot believe they made it a family stand (lower) cos it is open to the elements a little, Hardly suitable for kids ? Just another one of the little things that have happened since Hoyley took the reigns that doesnt really make sense.

what was the atmosphere like against MKD ? missed the game but saw there was vey good crowd...any better ? Maybe if we get promoted it will be fuller, with the away end fully occupied a lot more, and more home fans..can't they rebuild the old cowshed in the fml..

Lee Clark for England!
He gets linked with every other job and he'll tell you he's the greatest manager in the country.

If Clarky was the England manager at this years WC, We would be coming home after the group stage, Albeit unbeaten but with 3 points !

Brycey,
How do you arrive at that conclusion? - I make it 6 points, since he's averaged 2 points/game over the last 46 matches.

lee clark managed 1 point in the first play offs..
he managed 2 points in last last seasons play offs..
5 games 3 points!!!
goals for in total.. 4
against.... 8...
yes he surely is a big game manager!!!!!!
england would be made to not see the value in clarks "big game plans"...
at least everyone would be home early to get on holiday...
