Do they deliberately try to ruin our chances at major tournaments?
The day after Stuart Pearce has been given temporary charge, they resurrect a story about him racially abusing Paul Ince nearly 2 decades ago and splash it on a front page!! Did this pathetic tabloid (I will not name it here) just find out about it today? Nah, they have had it archived ready for the day where they get maximum impact whether it derails our National team or not
Remember when we were pushing for the WC 2018? We had a first class bid, and presentation team including our Prime Minister and a Prince. What do the BBC do? They totally undo everyone's hard work with their program about FIFA corruption which they chose to air a week before the selection rather the week after when it could have had no effect on our bid
Now. The FA.
Regarding Terry. It is my firm belief he should have stood down himself declaring that he remained commited to proving his innocense but he did not want to bring his situation to the England captaincy. He was never going to do that but there is no way in hell that The FA should have been able to discuss the matter in a meeting, with the outcome being to strip him themselves, and certainly not without the manager being present. For me, that decision should have been made by Capello and Terry and not the idiots in the FA
So, heading into a major tournament in 4 months, we have lost our captain, we have lost the manager who got us there, and the guy in temporary charge is on the front pages regarding him committing racial abuse 17 years ago
Now, we all know who is going to get the job. It would be of a major surprise to all if it isn't to be Harry and you know what? Given the story ran today about Pearce, if I was Harry, I'd be thinking twice about stepping into the Lion's den when I had a fantastic, unfinished, job anyway. I say to The FA FFS offer Harry the job now!! We have friendlies over the next few months and whoever is in charge of those, should take us into the EUROS. A situation of one man leading the team in the friendlies to prepare for the Euros only to hand over the reigns to another man when the tournament arrives is just a ludicrous situation to be in
4 months to a major tournament and we are in this mess.
You really couldn't make it up

If people keep buying the papers they will keep churning these juicy stories out.
Incidentlally, what is the FA's statute of limitations on racist abuse? They have just got rid of one coach who supported a player accused of racist abuse and are replacing him (albeit temporarily) with someone who has committed the same crime? Salacious gossip or legitimately exposing FA double standards?

Now that is an interesting question that I would find hard to answer
Appointing someone as a temporary manager who has comitted and offence that the player they stripped of the England captaincy is only accused of
I think we should send the FA some sp4des(wow that word is banned) so they can keep up with the hole they are digging

they employed Hoddle who hated g_ays, so there seems to be a pattern to the type of person the FA prefers.
(cant believe you can post the word g*ay on this website.) They exist get over it.

Will Redknapp look at the hounding of Pearce and other managers and think "you know what, i'm staying at Spurs" which will mess everything up and we'll be going into the euros with Peter Taylor or someone equally as useless
Why do they do this before (what seems like) every major competition? I couldn't believe how happy a lot of people seemed to be when Capello left earlier this week, i wasn't!
If Harry doesn't take it and the FA don't want or can't afford Jose Mourinho, what then!? Who are we left with?

What a sad state of affairs when we cant find a Englishman capable of managing the national side, there should be a queue for the job,it just shows how far we have fallen,None of the other home nations seem to have this problem. With the BBC paying pundits £1.5 million a year its no wonder no one wants to go into football management.

There is a queue for the job, Hodgson, Pardew, Big Sam, to name but 3. The media, as it did with KK when he was at Fulham have decreed 'arry is the man for the job and the FA will only look elsewhere when he turns them down because he doesnt want the trouble like Scolari before him.
Interesting footnote on scolari taking the Chelsea job was who else was up for it.
BBC
AC Milan manager Carlo Ancelotti, new Manchester City boss Mark Hughes and former Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini had been in the running for the job but the appointment ends weeks of speculation after Grant was sacked towards the end of May

I think that big Sam and Pardew have declined the offer and do not want to be considered,Hodgson as yet to comment but hardly a strong candidate for the job.
