Sorry for stating the obvious, but if we come 5th we are totally messed!!!
Seeing reports of Hazard linked with Spurs is just upsetting. If a club like that who have only qualified once for Europe and can now attract top stars because of a good league run without the expense of European football, THEN WHAT THE HECK HAVE CHELSEA BEEN DOING FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS!!!!!?????
I say that because even since 2008 final when you could say in hindsight, that the team needed contstant change with maybe a couple quality players in and a few past it players out each year till now, would have left us in a better position imo.
We just been to stagnent in our ways, constantly blaming the manager and not the players.
Also we can't blame Roman for anything.
IMO the blame lies with Bruce Buck (meant to be a Chelsea fan) and Goulray who are meant to know the club inside out and do work off the field that strengthens us as a team (and that includes making the correct signings).
Bottom line is if we don't get 4th don't automatically think that we will suddenly recover and make it back in a season or two. Just as you can see with Liverpool.
I'm so worried about our season. I really am. The players have show me nothing that we are a collective team. All I see is a few moments of indiviudal brilliance from the likes of Ramires, Ivan, Mata and Sturridge.
p.s(I have not proof read my article so sorry if some of it sounds like a 5year old talking).

WE NEED 4TH!!!!!

Cummon my friend! How City got into the top 4 and Chelsea chances of getting back in if we drop out are in NO WAY REMOTELY RELATED!!!!
There is nothing as Chelsea fans we can use to suggest we will get back into the top 4 using City as an example.
City got all them players because:
1: They've got loads of money
2: Loads of money = Exciting new project
3: Exciting new project = influx of star players
4: Influx of star players = progression in the table season after season.
We can't follow this same rule because of the FFP.
And as Mr Chelsea said....
Look at the money we've invested in this club! Call me arrogant but we should not be in the position we are in. In 2005 could you ever see Chelsea getting into this state? It takes really bad management at all levels of the club to go from the days of Jose to days like this.
As Arsenal and Man U have shown, transition does not mean you have to drop out of the top 4. Transition means you should accept not winning or challenging for the league for a few seasons yes. But to drop out the top 4 is an EPIC FAILURE!

The thing with Boas is that we don't really know how good he really is.
Being Porto manager is a bit like being a Celtic or Rangers fan - you're chances of winning are 50/50
Just because he is young, people said he could be like Pep Guariola and bring new ideas.
But I often think we always associate foreign managers with class. For example, would you see an upcoming english manager being offered jobs at one of the Milan clubs etc?
I don't think so and I think people are expecting an awful lot from Villas-Boas when in reality we can't be totally sure he is the real deal.

not fully no - but he must have some responsibility for your vurrent plight.
If you were top of the league, I'm sure he would be receiving the praise so why not the other side of the coin ?

EXACTLY!!!!!!
He would be getting all the praise if we were top. Hes been here long enough to show some glimmer of signs of how good he is.
Currently I have seen more negatives than positives in his game.
1: He is too naieve and showed this by "giving all the players a chance in the summer" (That was the beginning of the end right there and I knew it).
2: His tactics and subs have cost us dearly
3: His preparation for matches has been poor at times (he admitted this from our last defeat)
4: His failure to win the dressing room and motivate our players (That special training trip to Spain a couple weeks back worked didnt it?)
Transition could have even started in 2010 after we won the title. It wasn't too late then. We just didnt do enough in the market after selling alot of our deadwood (Ballack, Ricky etc).

Question.. Just how many of the players back AVB. If he's got more players against him rather than with him. Wat do you do? Do you just say, because players have forced out managers before, they're doing the same here or is it because AVB hasnt got the skills to man manage top level players?

But he is not top is he, and no manager would be top with this squad

Hiddink won the players over so that just shows if you have the skills and experience, you can win this dressing room over.

I wouldn't say no manager. Fergie has a very average squad there, blighted with injuries. Hes a class manager to still be in contention with City.
AVB has not had to deal with an injury crisis at Chelsea this season and we are still suffering. AVB is clearly not getting the best out of this side.

FFP All the top clubs will comply with FFP no problem.
We were within the FFP in the 2010/11 season despite spending over £70m for Torres & Luiz.(Yes I know FFP wasn't implemented in that season, but If It was...)
http://andersred.blogspot.com/2012/02/income-up-costs-down-chelsea-getting-in.html
Read this proof that we were within the FFP rules for the 2010/11 season.
Good read,nice breakdown.
