Was Rooney right to mock the Toures?

the classic blue inferiority complex is clearly evident here.

It was immature, but really, who cares?

My opinion is that I quite like players mocking each other, winding each other up. Perhaps the Toure's will have a shot back at Wazza, makes the rivalry more interesting if anything.

It's not like it's particularly offensive or insulting, more of a wind up, I like to see a bit of banter between footballers.

What a non story

I just hope the Toure brothers have the last laugh on derby day and at the end of the season.

i found it a strange tweet aswell especially seeing as rvp was sending his commisserations to toure and gervinho and then you have rooney who was having a good old chuckle. yeah you can class it as banter but its not normally done that openly between rival footballers is it??

anyway im sure mr kompany was made aware of that tweet and will fill in the toure brothers in due course

Twitter as far as footballers go needs some ground rules from the PFA.

It can be used with great effect as per Rooney v Independant which rendered their exclusive as a non story as soon as it was printed.
But then with other matters such as who they'd want as England manager, referees etc it is a little controversial.
