These statsitics seem to prove my point

It's hard to argue with these figures, that prove Grayson was the most effective Championship manager till you sacked him.
I often wonder why he chose to drop down a division to sign for Leeds. I can only presume he was hoping Bates would die whilst Grayson was in charge, and a new owner would give Grayson more funds.
Like Scrooge, you can't beat Bates, he is immortal. He will forever be swindling generation after generation of employees.
Is Grayson the best Championship manager?

"whilst in the ccc our tactic changed a little.... instead of buying the likes of BJ / Kilkenny from rival teams in the League 1, we then changed to loans...."
Bates made it clear there was no money for transfers with regular periodic statements about how "we won't gamble our future" " we won't take risks"
Any League 1 player who can cut it in for a top 6 championship team costs a million or more and Bates isn't going to spend that on one player, never mind sanction their high wages....
Otherwise we're left signing rough diamonds like Kilkenny and Johnson, but they are rare and using Norwich as some prime example of that is bollix, cos it will never be replicated by anyone else....
A more realistic example of that kind of transfer policy is Peterboro, mid-table, play good football, but never gonna be pushing for top 2, ever.

Midtable mess that was turned into a prem team team.
8 wins in 24 games sonce x mas when teams found out how we play and over achieved load of rubbish.
Should gone at end of last season and we not be in this mess now!!!!

I telling you
We would got mon if he had gone at end of last season.

Tusc has got it spot on.
In League One, he did the job we needed.
After January 3rd, we were 1st, 11 points clear and had just beaten the Mancs. I thought he was an amazing manager. But then we flopped after that and struggled to finish 2nd. But we still did get promoted, which isn't a massive achievement given the resources he had, but still incredibly important. He did the job in the end.
But in the CC, he proved not to be tactically astute enough and brought in poor players/loanees. It was his choice to get the likes of Bannan, Livermore, McCartney and permanent signings like Paynter. Don't kid yourself that Bates was dying to sign the top scorer in League One. Paynter won't be on cheap wages.
He did the job needed in League One, but proved not to be good enough at this level for us. He should have gone in the summer IMO, because last season we had a massive chance and wasted it.

bluememe.... there would of been no reason to sack SG last season, he finished 7th in his first season in the ccc... which wasn't half bad really?
MON would have never taken on Leeds

....
Sadly that's the reason he was not sacked because we got 7th place.
I understand that from there view because fans would go nuters.
But
8 wins in 24 games. Should gone at end of season. Who was proven right?
Take look at my posts. There all bloming right!!!!!!

Agreed. We were 2nd in December, and should have atleast got top 6. The league is much harder this season.
