Why are we shying away from the truth?

We all know that Torres is responsible for our decline.
- failed to live up to expectation and still plays till now
- disrupted the harmony and balance in the dressing room
- when a manager continues to field a woeful player because of his price tag then you don't expect the others to put in 100% anymore.
- made Drogba to feel unappreciated (when he was benched) and so he doesn't bother anymore, except when he feels like. He has realised that no matter what he does or how many goals he scores, people still prefer Torres.
- Got Anelka banished, which further alienated or isolated Avb.
- Got Kalou benched, a least he pops up with important goals from the bench, which Torres doesn't do.
- Got the defensive minded Mikel out of the team (he was benched for being too slow to play with Torres) and now we are relying on the colourless Meireles who runs around like a lizard and takes woeful shots, embarrasing Avb.
What more should I say, we all know these things, we prefer to blame everyone else than the man himself, even till date, when we don't win we blame Sturridge and Mata, Torres is there doing nothing match after match, how do you expect the boys to play as a team when their is so much injustice and unfairness at the club. A player who doesn't should be dropped, that way they all put in their best cos they want to play, instead the more woeful Torres performs, the greater the sympathy for him, the more others are blamed. Some have even started to call for Sturridge to be dropped for not passing to Torres.
Avb is not the wisest around for continuing to field Torres whose lack of goals is responsible for our free fall. This has to stop. Think of where we would be if our cf has gotten 15 goals this season, at least we'd be higher than Spurs.
CFC will never be great again or play as a team until we discard the sick idiot who has disrupted the players love and trust for each other. The poorer he gets, the more sympathy for him, even if he misses from a yard out we will still find an escuse for him or blame Sturridge for not passing in time. Rubbish.

Torres is a brilliant striker. Just look at any of the vid compilations

I presume he's wearing a red shirt with Carlsberg sprawled on the front.

If Torres has been half as good as Aguero or Balotelli I won't be complaining, we spend big money and get nothing in return and deluded fans keep blaming avb, did avb or sturridge stop him shooting against Utd a forthnight ago or did lampard prevent him from putting the ball in the net against Utd after he has rounded the keeper. Those two misses could easily have caused us 6 points.

We are not shying away from the truth, because the truth is that we don't know how Torres would perform here with the right service. Some of his link-up play has been sharp, and he has shown that he can improvise well even though it has meant coming out of his main position. I would rate his ability and concentration miles ahead of Bosingwa and Malouda if you are looking for people to blame.

If he had the right service and more chances consistently rather than snatches here and there but still fell short, then patience would run out, but I think he has been starved of opportunity by a team that plays slowly and sideways too much of the time.

still more escuses for him

Why do you keep changing your name? Why do you also keep changing your stance on AVB and Torres? When do you think you'll stop?

Let's hear your excuses for our pattern of play and the contributions of Bosingwa and Malouda then.

Listen, I am frustrated by his scoring rate as much as you, I was not making excuses for him, I just don't know how you can judge him intelligently and fairly when he is not getting the kind of service that he got when he was prolific. I would rather give Sturridge a chance in the middle right now, but that is not necessarily because Torres is THE problem as you suggest, more that he does not suit our current style of play.
