Now's the time to bid for Nasri

With it being confirmed by AFC that Fabregas will leave this Summer for Barcelona, now is the time for Fergie to make his move for Nasri.

The Gooners are kidding themselves that Nasri is merely holding out for more money, but we all know that that is only half the story. What he wants more than anything else is to be an influential part of a trophy and title winning side, something that is unlikely to happy for him at AFC. With Fabregas leaving, and more or their squad surely to follow, AFC's chances of securing Nasri's signature to a new contract are now worse than they were before.

So, my question to you is this. How much do you think you'll get him for?

Gooners will come on here with silly quotes, forgetting that he's free to walk on a Bosman at the end of next season. You could get him for as little as £4 million, especially if he makes it clear to Fergie that he won't go to any other club.

Yes, it's certainly possible we could break £70m.

Problem is, I still don't think we'll match Barcelona. So the best we can do is dominate in England, which we kind of did anyway last season by winning the league.

You reckon we'll sign those bottom 3?

I'd rather we just lump together and try for Modric, although I would absolutely not be unhappy with Nasri. Varane's off to Madrid though right?

Maybe, maybe not.

I'm still not convinced that splashing out on Modric is the way forward, especially if we can get Nasri for half the price!

I did wonder about the Varane signing once we'd got Phil Jones. Young, promising centre-half – how many more do we need?

Izaguirre, well, it's certainly being talked about. I'm more than happy with Evra and Fabio though, to be honest.

You won't get Modric. Levy has made a statement to the world that he won't be sold, at any price. He simply cannot back down, now. Also, despite what the Spurs-hating The Daily Fail said, it was revealed that Modric is not angling for a move away from the club; he merely said that he wants to stay in London and that if, at some time in the future, an offer was made that was acceptable to Spurs, he would consider moving on. That is no more than any top player would say. Having signed a 6 year contract last season, he's unlikely to want to put in a transfer request. Also, what's the betting that Levy offers him a new contract and makes him our highest ever paid player? And, in any event, United is the very last club that Levy will ever do any business with, not after the Berbatov affair. If he does go, it will be to the Chavs.

No, you're much better off looking at Nasri as your creative midfielder. You'll pick him up cheap, and he's almost as good as Modric. In fact, I wouldn't mind him at Spurs

Got to be honest, out of the two, I'd rather Nasri. I think he can run at players better, he's got a shot on him, and he's more what we need. Just my opinion; we'll see what happens.

Fab is DEFINITELY leaving Arsenal. He's been left out of promotional material for the forthcoming season.

That means that Nasri definitely will not stay there.

If Fergie is going to make a bid for him, now is the time to do it.
