With the distinct possibility that

there will be no English representatives in the last eight of this seasons CL, where does this leave England and the prem league in the grand scheme of things.

I think the general standard of the prem has been dropping year on year, as shown by clubs having to bring players like Henry and Keane back from the USA to shore things up, Scholes having to come out of retirement, etc.

Will it be left next season for teams like Man City and Spurs to try to repair the damage from this season, or is it now a case of the prem taking an inevitable downturn after years of pumping money at the project.

I think personally it will be very hard to compete with some of the European Heavyweights once the Fair Play Rules start to kick in, and it once again becomes a level playing field across Europe.

Neither did mine on Saturday mate, funny how the FA cup does things like this isn't it

Although i would loved to have seen our goal stood, it was actually refreshing to see decent officiating in a game. And teh decision was rule it out was spot on.

After the final whistle, because of the performance, i was actually content with a replay.

How bad is that?

I know fella, I felt the same following our equaliser on Saturday.
I have had a little dig on another thread just now, please take it in the comedic vein it is intended

Was a good goal though.

I have a distinct feeling that we will go out of the FA cup and CL this round.

I felt soooooo much better reading how AVB says we can still win the CL (I suppose Mathematically we can), when we have just failed to beat Birmingham (No offense Blues fans) at the bridge
