What does Pakistan need to do?

I'm going to get shot for saying this, but here goes...

Their inability to post good totals, and chase down totals will continue to haunt them, if they don’t address this problem. The pathetic techniques of some of these batsman needs sorting out, they all continusly are getting out in the same fashion by either using a lack of foot movement or poor shot selection. Cook would be the ideal batsman to look at, he has been playing near perfect shots throughout this series, from a forward defence to a cut for four. I also feel the balance of the team needs sorting out, I think players like Adnan Akmal should play, but his brother needs to bat higher up, more preferably at number 4.

Pakistan need to try and bat a whole innings without getting bowled out, before people can moan about how slow we are playing. I feel Azhar Ali is the ideal batsman to bat at number 3 for Pakistan for the long term he just needs more games and practise. Yes, people will moan that he is too slow, but imagine having a good hard hitter opening, like a Nasir Jamshed, with Umar Akmal at 4 there would be no problem in how Azhar bats at 3 because he will have the ability to anchor the innings. That will allow those around him to bat in the aggressive manner they do, if a collapse were to happen we would have Azhar at 3 or Misbah at 5 to try and save us. With the new ICC rules it’s very difficult to bat nowadays, we need proper batsman batting, not just someone who for a living can clear the boundary because it’s obvious they won’t always come off, as we well know.
