Do you think Whyte will still own Rangers once the dust settles?
It seems to me he's already walked away. Why else would the administrators announce that they've had enquiries from interested parties?
After they said this there was no comment from Whyte to say that he wants to keep the club.
I think the first thing he told the administrators was he wanted out with his share of the cash.
The best outcome for Rangers supporters is a CVA and to come out of it all living within their means and then sell the club to a person who'll keep them on this path....
But, if all their assets are to be sold off to pay creditors and they then have to rent them back....Living within their means will make them a mid table SPL side in the future.
Even in the best outcome they'll be weakened for many, many years.

Rangers for sale

Somebody mentioned on the RTC blog about players houses that are rented to them by the club.
The sale of these houses will more than likely be an option....Which might be a good indicator of what players are getting paid off.

One option floated concerns Rangers selling Ibrox and then leasing it back.
This provides cash and we can clear debts, pay wages and buy and keep players.

Ginger
I realise one side of the ground is a listed building, but a football finance expert I heard appeared to think this was an option. As you point out, flaws exist also.
Perhaps flogging the car park area and Murray Park is an alternative? There are other places to train.
