First of all I wanted to say well done to our feathered warriors in getting the edge over our arch nemesis, didnt see the game sadly and couldnt log on to find a suitable live feed, but lets just hope that this gives us the confidence and belief to crack on for promotion now, it sounded pretty even but think we edged it possesion wise from what I can gather.
Secondly, the recent speculation surrounding Meggy leaving and Dave Jones coming in, I think it would be pure and utter madness if we got rid at this stage of the season, and not only that, we need stabilty, something we have not had since the days of Big Ron and Meggy is the man to lead us forward, he is passionate about us, is a fan anyway and no doubt he'll make damn sure we get to where we should be and we all know where that is. Ok we have had a bit of a blip lately but what team hasnt (Bar Charlton) at some stage this season?
In reference to the article "Meggy Is'nt Working" now I have to say that, whilst there are one or two good points, I have to disagree with his eye for players, esp in defence, he's brought in Llera, R Jones, Batth who are all good defenders in my opinion. A lot of, if not, all of the players he's brought in have been good players, but maybe one or two havent been good signings (Bostock). Also I disagree with the bit where we are not a good team, we ARE a good team no matter how we play, we work for each other, help each other and we are very competative, the table prooves that and we have played some good football this season, there no need to get on our high horse just coz we lost three on the bounce, as stated already, all teams have a blip at some stage.
Yes I too wish that the players we have brought in on loan (again expt Bostock) were permanant, Marshall is a classic example but like I have said before a few months ago, Mandaric wants to run our club poperly, he made out a budget for Meggy to play with, it may not have been as much as others but Meggy has used that budget the best he can. No doubt there are players out there that Meggy would love to sign permanantly, but cannot afford so we look to get them on loan, successfully or not.
Lets remember that Mandaric has had to spend heavily in other departments in order to re-build the CLUB, not just the team so we can prosper in the long term, now Mandaric is no Abramovich and he's never gonna give Meggy or whoever a budget of 200m every year, but at least he has a seasonal budget where there is no risk of getting into debt to build a decent team for the future.
Once MM feels the club is stable enough then im sure we will attract wealthier investers who can take the club to another level, just like he did at Leicester.
So my message is, be patient, keep the faith coz Mandaric & Meggy know what they are doing, if we did go up this season then Mandaric will make sure we stay there & progress further.

In 2012 we've conceded 11 goals in 10 games, maybe 3 or 4 from open play (one of them was that crazy lob thing from Hartlepool & another the 30yarder that went in off Bywater's back).
We've given a few daft fouls away which have been punished with quality free kicks & we've switched off at a couple of corners but it aint been the centre halfs. Only goal I can think of recently where you could apportion blame to a defender (Llera) was the Tranmere one but in fairness that was a great cross & a good header!
If you don't think Batth is a good defender then you simply cannot go to the games. He's an exceptional defender (was MOTM on Sunday & a definite frontrunner for POTY) & if his distribution was anything like & if he was maybe a little quicker he'd be a Premier league player.
Jones lacks a bit of pace & mobility but at this level he's a decent defender. The only player to really make him look silly was Rhodes & he's certianly not on his own there!
Llera has looked pretty good in his few appearences so far aswell.

Well if thats your opinion of them U11819 then fair enough, but I dont think theres many who would agree with you though!! Some of the goals and games we have lost are through conceding silly fouls, but thats the wat we play, a physical aand high tempo game.

Sure we should have delt with the balls in better given the hight of a few of our players but thats only over the last 4-5 games, like Ive already said, we only had a blip in form. Yes our goal difference should be better but we are third and thats on merit so you shouldnt worry and your article re Meggy not being the right man is a tad harsh from yourself IMHO.

Obviously forgetting when we were 4-0 down at half-time against Stevenage. Journeyman at best.

I agree he's a journeyman & he isn't going to play much part in our progression beyond this level but for this league, in general, he's fine.
As I said, you keep harping back to a solitary performance 5 months ago but there was a solitary performance in the much more recent past where he was an absolute tower of strength & he lead his troops superbly!

Here here monster, even Marshall had a couple of bad games by his standards. Like you say Jones was an absolute colosus for us on Sunday, and I agree that at this level he is very important for us, was we to go up (fingers crossed) he would then be more of a squad player than an automatic choice, he's a good player and person to have around the place and will pass on his knowledge and experience to the likes of Beevers and Batth (shoulsd he stay beyond this season). Again, your judgement is a little harsh on Jones just coz of one game ages ago. A bit of positivity wouldnt go a miss
