far for Spurs, two of our rivals lost, Chelsea and Liverpool, so barring a devastating set of results looks like CL footie is very much on the horizon now. Yes, I know Arsenal won fortuously, but they are still four points behind, the big result today was Chelsea getting beat, and they have some seriously hard fixtures until the end of the season, and they are still 7 points behind and Spurs have a game in hand.
Let`s make it a weekend to to remember by beating United tomorrow now.
All in all, not a bad weekend so

Not the same feeling as last Sunday tho is it. I always look at the united side and think there not that strong any more and then they go and win still - incredible

Ripley, can i ask you something?
I was wondering why you think Man City are doing so well in the league this season?
Do you think its because City are a great club with a history of achievement and great footballing talent?
Or because the new owners have spend 800+ million pounds on wages and transfers?
What your take?

It's because we have spent x-amount of millions on transfers and wages.
That, and good management, selection, effort, and endeavour.
We have won things in the past, but I'm not quite sure that our league success in the 30s and 60s, or our cup success in several decades in the past can take much credit for our current position. Same for every single other club all said and done.

It was such an obvious attempt to get a bite that it would have been pointless to respond in any other way.

Ripley
Fair play to City, but the bottom line is without the money your team would not be anywhere near the top 10 let alone at the top.
Be warned though Chelsea thought it would last for ever, and look where they are heading right now. Nothing lasts for ever. In a few years time, your team will have been upsurped by any even richer owner.

City's approach is not the same as Chelsea's, thus it's futile to compare ourselves to them.
But your warning is taken on board.

City's approach is exactly the same as Chelsea. Pay obscenely excessive wages and transfer fees to get players who otherwise wouldn't look twice at going there in order to purchase trophies and establish themselves as allegedly a 'big club' fast tracked, whilst telling the world and kidding themselves that they simuletaneously are building the best academy when the reality is that this will actually be producing kids that won't break into the 1st team, rather they'll be farmed out to lower prem or championship teams.
They are as manufactured as City- the x factor winners of football. Break even in 5 years. Hahahahaha.

ripley, you are a good poster don't get me wrong but you are very naive or maybe just delusional if you think the way your club has gone is not similar to chelsea. No offense but i don't even think many foreign players knew Manchester city existed 7 years ago because United dominated Manchester so much and Mancity have never really been regarded as a big club. Your rise started from the initial take over from the Asian guy and since the Arabs took over you have got success from this.

Once again, it is not.
There are similarities, obviously, but both are not exactly the same.
A little research in to what exactly has happened at both clubs will prove that I'm correct.
