I concur Here's to not rolling over tommorow
Bubbles thought chelsea and arsenal could both get 3rd n 4th after our thrashing in the nl derby, wonder what his views are now
Before last weekend games, it was possible that at this point in the sesson Spurs could have been 16 points clear of Arsenal. After tomorrow's games however, it's possible that Spurs could be only 4 points clear of Arsenal.
Here's to United thrashing Spurs
Liverpool are our rivals?

And what exactly is your point.
At the start of the season both teams were in fact level. So Spurs being four points in front is indeed better than being 4 points behind is it not.
And what exactly is your point
---------------------------
My point is that come tomorrow, the last few weeks could have been a hell of a lot better for Spurs.
RIPLEY, We all know this set of fixtures were going to be the toughest. Currently we are still 7 points above chelsea and 4 above Arsenal with a game in hand, hardly a call for a crisis is it? Once the chelsea away game is over we have the easiest run in for all the top teams,we will be fine mate.......and as pathetic as we usually are against united, i got a funny feeling we are going to get a result tommorow
The gap could be reduced further after our trips to Chelsea and Everton, but after them 2 games, our run in looks very good indeed I'm confident we'll finish 3rd, 4th is worst case scenario.
Don dont say that otherwise your gona jinx our win tomorrow
Ripleys. Your correct. If we had any discipline or the right attitude last week then we would have been 13 points ahead of the filth. As it stands we are 4
For the record, I'm not for one moment trying to say there is a crisis at Spurs. Far from it in fact. For all we know, Spurs could beat United tomorrow, going seven points clear of 4th place, with a huge incentive in which to push on for at least 2nd.
But by the very same token, it COULD have been a lot more healthy for Spurs coming into this weekend. Had you beat Arsenal, and then United, and Arsenal had also lost to Liverpool, then at least 3rd place would, in my opinion, be assured, even with 10-11 games to go. 16 points (which it would be had that happened) would be a huge gap to overcome. The possibility that it could be only 4 come tomorrow however is something that I felt worthy of being pointed out.
Sorry if that possibility offended your sensitivities.
hengy, deep down mate i know we won't get a result because we roll over like a bunch of idiots for united everytime but for some reason i have this feeling
Not the same feeling as last Sunday tho is it. I always look at the united side and think there not that strong any more and then they go and win still - incredible
Ripley, can i ask you something?
I was wondering why you think Man City are doing so well in the league this season?
Do you think its because City are a great club with a history of achievement and great footballing talent?
Or because the new owners have spend 800+ million pounds on wages and transfers?
What your take?
It's because we have spent x-amount of millions on transfers and wages.
That, and good management, selection, effort, and endeavour.
We have won things in the past, but I'm not quite sure that our league success in the 30s and 60s, or our cup success in several decades in the past can take much credit for our current position. Same for every single other club all said and done.
Fair play, you counter-wummed with maturuty
It was such an obvious attempt to get a bite that it would have been pointless to respond in any other way.
Ripley
Fair play to City, but the bottom line is without the money your team would not be anywhere near the top 10 let alone at the top.
Be warned though Chelsea thought it would last for ever, and look where they are heading right now. Nothing lasts for ever. In a few years time, your team will have been upsurped by any even richer owner.
City's approach is not the same as Chelsea's, thus it's futile to compare ourselves to them.
But your warning is taken on board.
City's approach is exactly the same as Chelsea. Pay obscenely excessive wages and transfer fees to get players who otherwise wouldn't look twice at going there in order to purchase trophies and establish themselves as allegedly a 'big club' fast tracked, whilst telling the world and kidding themselves that they simuletaneously are building the best academy when the reality is that this will actually be producing kids that won't break into the 1st team, rather they'll be farmed out to lower prem or championship teams.
They are as manufactured as City- the x factor winners of football. Break even in 5 years. Hahahahaha.
ripley, you are a good poster don't get me wrong but you are very naive or maybe just delusional if you think the way your club has gone is not similar to chelsea. No offense but i don't even think many foreign players knew Manchester city existed 7 years ago because United dominated Manchester so much and Mancity have never really been regarded as a big club. Your rise started from the initial take over from the Asian guy and since the Arabs took over you have got success from this.
City's approach is exactly the same as Chelsea.
-------------
Once again, it is not.
There are similarities, obviously, but both are not exactly the same.
A little research in to what exactly has happened at both clubs will prove that I'm correct.
