But if I was Alan McGregor, Steve Naismith etc, I would take the 75% pay cut now, bide my time until a potential takeover by this guy Murray or anyone else, and then just sit and wait until they bump my wages back up. Lets face it, if a successful take over did happen in a few weeks of course there would still be financial concerns, but if I was buying the club I would want my best players like McGregor and company staying. Then when on a financial sound footing I would pay them what they are worth and put them back on their contracts.
So perhaps that is why the best players are holding out, especially if somehow Murray has told them to hold on and wait until he can figure something out......or am I stating the obvious?

They would only be able to sign for new club if FIFA gives them special dispensation as they were signed to a club when the transfer window closed.

If Paul Murray or anyone else buys Rangers this week or next, and takes the club out of administration, then that buyer needs to get serious psychiatric help.

It is very unlikely anyone will buy Rangers in the coming weeks. The big tax case judgement will not be in until April. If Rangers by some chance win, then HMRC will appeal which will take at least 6 months to resolve. Hard to see where the buyer will come from. Does any Rangers fan know another Ranger fan with something in excess of £100m to risk losing for the love of Rangers. A club who may be barred from SPL for years.
