Lanzo,
I found it very interesting to compare Bennett and Diouf. Bennett was very light weight and easily knocked off the ball but Diouf it took two players to knock him off it and at times he still came away with the ball. I don't know if you noticed but there were times in the 2nd half when we only had 3 in the back line when Tommy made forward runs and young Bennett dropped back. Now that shows how committed to attack we were . It was the same with Chimboda's runs. I was proud of the team yesterday.
I also had good fortune with getting parked in Gillett Ave, strange but true. Man of the match for me. I asked a lady where was a good place to park and she reached in her bag and gave me a visitors card for free parking now tha'ts great East end hospitality.

It was a great day.

Good to hear we put in a performance. The second half certainly sounded like it.

Just keep it going lads!

We had a brilliant day yesterday, on train to London by 8am, drinks in Covent Garden by 10.15am, on to Leicester Square for lunch and more drinks. Got to Upton Park by 2.30pm (which was a good job as they seem to have sold more tickets than they had allocated seats for) Stewards were struggling to cope with the fact some people had to stand through lack of seats meaning the rest of us had to stand to see but they were decent stewards on the whole. Took a while to get out of the ground and a long queue for the tube but got back to Kings Cross so had a few drinks around there before the 8pm train home. Best away day I've had for a while

The game - thought we were going to get absolutely mullered first 20 mins, they should have been 3-0 up Diouf, Copps, Beye, Gillett, Spurr and Ikeme were tremendous. For me the jury's still out on Chimbonda, yesterday was the best I'd seen him play. I like Bennett, he's got pace and trickery but gets knocked off the ball way too easily or manages to lose it himself.

I'm not sure this mini-turnaround is all Saunders' doing. I'd say Diouf takes a lot of control of what happens on the pitch but its working. There's no doubting his skill and his passion and the less tasteful elements of his personality were much less obvious yesterday. When he walked over to give his shirt to a fan yesterday you could see that he cares about us staying up so fair play to him

All in all a brilliant day, had to feel sorry for a couple of Newcastle fans who had booked the train for the Arsenal match before it was changed for Sky. They still came down for a day drinking round London and were going to to go to the West Ham game but found out Gateshead were playing locally so went there instead

Rovers have the talent and determination to stay up - my only fear is that we've left it too late but I really hope thats an unfounded fear

Sorry to bring this up, but on a down side it was rather embarrassing to witness the number of Rovers fans who arrived at their seats totally out of their heads, being sick in their seats and the toilets after were just covered in vomit, sorry to spoil our day but I just had to mention it.No one likes a drink and a night out more than me but what I witnessed yesterday was not "nice".Sorry.

lanzarote, I saw these guys too and I'm sure they don't go to the home matches and only show up at 'big' away games just as they did at Stoke in the Conference play-off final and reducing the good name of the club.

It was probably the crisps!

At least they would have suffered on the way home

Got to admit I never saw them I am pleased to say.

The noise our supporters generated was incredible yesterday.

There was someone sat about 6 rows in front of us on the opposite aisle who threw up - not pretty! That was all I saw but I think a few were ejected for being drunk. Waste of time and money
