He seems to be frozen out at Cardiff, so can I suggest something Mr. Cotterill? Give them a ring and ask if we can borrow him for a bit. He knows how to score, knows the players and most importantly, they know how he plays. He is still better than what we have now, and I'm certain he'd score 1 or 2. Ok, he's probably not match fit, but that wouldn't last long.
Just a thought.

So Earnie has been released by Cardiff - He is still better than everyone we have except Dex - I'd sign him right now if it was up to me.
He never should have left in the first place, and although we might not have finished in the top 6, we would not have had such a fright with relegation. If nothing else, he would be a superior backup than Findley, McGoldrick and co.

Ambition
We're being taken over by rich Arabs. Why do we want to bring back players we didn't want before? Players that couldn't get in the Cardiff side? Can we move on.

Never go back.
Onwards and upwards.

Realism.
We don't know what they are prepared to spend, we don't know who would be prepared to sign for a Championship club, and we don't need a team of strangers getting to know each other - didn't work for Leicester, did it?
I'd have him back. I have absolutely no idea what you mean by "didn't want before". He is one of the highest regarded ex-Forest players around today.

"Although...on saying that Collymore is available..."!
Wasn't funny last time you said that.

We let him go without offering him a contract.
We know the new owners want promotion. We know Earnie couldn't get in a top six side last season. So why sign him.
Let's move on.

Fair enough, I guess I am being a bit too sentimental. Good job I'm not manager or I probably would sign Collymore too!
