Fellow reds, just stumbled across this article that shows the highest paid managers in the world.
No surprise, Mourinho is the highest paid manager and SAF is the 7th highest paid manager.
What is even more amazing is that Kenny and SAF get the same salary. So it appears LFC do not only waste money on average players.
Mark Hughes also makes the list at number 13.
Makes for truly fascinating reading.
Admins, can you please multitag the article. It would be interesting to sample peoples opinions on the managers salaries.
Are they all worth it?
Cheers

Probably peanuts compared to what his players get!

Managers like Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger know their true worth, and are not motivated just by money.
Both have had stable jobs for a very long time and are
almost certainly wealthier than most of the others who
are listed and have chopped and changed jobs.
Wenger is by all accounts quite frugal in his lifestyle.
I believe that he 'rented' a house in Totteridge for a very long time and it was no 'footballers mansion'.

Have you been to Totteridge? There's certainly no council houses there! And I doubt you could find anything for less than £1mill (that's IF you can find something). His rent was probably more than the mortgage on a mansion one of his players have in Herts!

"When you thjink of it the wages are big for managers, afterall all they do is pick a formation help train and rely on results or get a big pay off if they do bad."
Who makes the tactical decisions during a game and generally does the post match interviews? Who has to deal with all the pressure because his head is the one on the block? The kit man?

I know the house as it backs onto that of a friend of mine.
Of course the house is worth a lot of money, but it is certainly not in the sane league as the house of Harry
Redknapp in Sand Banks.
It was frankly quite average.

It's all about the location for some! I'm sure Wenger has property elsewhere, maybe abroad?
Fergie doesn't go splashing out his personal wealth either. You have some who like to splash the cash and those who don't.
John O Shea earnt a similar amount to Anderson at United and he drove round in something very ordinary while Anderson turned up in a Ferrari/Lambo.... etc
Gary Neville was one of Ujnited's top earners....and he drove a Prius!!
Horses for courses! Wenger is clearly very prudent even though he doesn't really need to be, especially at his age. Maybe there was a nicer house close by but he just "didn't see it"?
