Wishiwas, I've got to be honest, I thought, 'this is it, Kenny's back, here we go'. There's clearly been a breakdown in training somewhere, the message isn't getting across or the team selection/tactics are wrong. Change the manager? No, not yet. Kenny's biggest problem however lies with the owners. There guys don't do sentiment, they do 'results' instead. Much as thong I would hate to see it, do not be surprised if KD is replaced in the close season. FSG don't do 'failure' either. YNWAJimmy.theRed
38m for carroll 20m for that lad fae Sunderland and 8m for Adam.
Seriously it takes the pizz, Carroll at best in a realistic transfer market 3m, Sunderland lad 1m and Adam 2m
Yeah i thought about it, but i then realised that he is a good manager and plays teh right way. He has showed this, the only area i feel he has been totally wrong is in playing Carroll and Henderson.
They are not bad players more that Liverpool is too big a club for them at this moment. He should play Maxi, Kuyt and any other in forntv of them; we are playig with 10 men when thy play.
I believe in the old saying 'Never go back'.
Love is never more beautiful the second time around, it just gives your partner the chance to drag up the past when things go wrong.
The place where you used to live often changes, especially your old schoolmates who went to college or university and found that there is a life outside Smallville. Or maybe you were the one that grew up and your old mates didn't.
Remember that there was a reason you left there in the first place.
So don't go back.......unless they're going to give you a load of dosh that will set you up for life so you can leave again as soon as possible.
It is difficult for a footballer who was skilful and adored at his club to be as successful as a manager and many fans may feel disappointed.
Keep moving forward, but have a quick glance over your shoulder to see who is after you!
i'm getting tired of all this he's club legend and all that, i know this i've been watching us since the early 80's.
If someone else was doing the job Kenny was doing he would be getting slaughtered left right and center. This is a results based business and the results haven't been good enough, end of.
That aside the biggest problem i have is the wasted money
I'm sorry but KD and DC has literally pi$$ed away 83 mil on hendo, downing, carroll, and adam.
Why would the owners even think about giving these 2 clowns anymore money when they see how previous money has been wasted
I didn't think it would work out at all.
Then I thought that I'd been proved spectacularly wrong when we were smashing teams 4 and five goals to zip.
Kenny's basically just undone all that work, though, and it's inconceivable that he'll keep his job this summer after spending that much.
Cups aside, we've generally been a bad joke in 2012.
I have to say that the 'never go back' theory has been proven time and again, which is why I think it would be unwise for Rafa to come back as well.
Because if he did we could be back here again.
I really think Paul Lambert is the ideal man for Liverpool!
But maybe not a big enough name for the board!
Out of touch manager from a different generation of football.
When Hodgson was appointed I knew at once he was the wrong choice, and despite protests from certain quarters I was proved right.
With Kenny I wasn't comfortable but I dared to hope. The cup win was boss, the FA cup run has been great, but these league losses have shown that we have a squad nowhere near good enough to compete in the top flight. And I reckon the players are starting to fight amongst themselves as well. Suarez and Downing were at one another's throats today. There's no discipline, no interaction, no team spirit.
It's all a complete mess.
To be honest, when he took over from Hodgson to steady the ship I was relieved. I guess at the end of last season I got caught up in the euphoria of the results and thought "Why not!" when he was given the managers job.
Before Christmas I was one of those who looked at majority of the games where we dominated and played good football, but didn't score, and thought it was because the players were settling in.
Since January things have been dire on the whole. Starting with that Stoke game, we have seemed to go downhill apart from the odd performance.
I honestly don't know if Kenny can cut it, I genuinely don't know. Don't get me wrong, I am ever grateful for all he has done for the club, especially as a player where he is a legend, but I am starting to doubt him as a manager.
As for the players he bought: I think Downing will be ok, he has shown that he can do it, but needs to do it consistently. Carroll is a good striker in the wrong team. Henderson I am unconvinced at the moment, but Adam is way out of his depth in my opinion.
Do I still think Kenny should stay as manager? I don't know, honestly I am having doubts. If he goes though, I hope he does it himself before he gets sacked. I would hate that to happen to a legend.
And what's more we only just won the Carling Cup
Red_Led, I'd sooner he resigned as well, if not for his own sanity
Adam is awful. Henderson is awful. Downing has improved, but he didn't have a good game today.
No way are any of them worth the money we paid, though.
Ignoring carrolls inflated prices, how many of you would have bought henderson, adam or downing when kenny did? Who would you have gotten instead? And actually gotten, not wished for and got a knockback?
So, today we have more carp home form, didn't we have a few of the youngsters turn out for us today too?
Either way, I still want to see him as manager next season, he deliberately didn't buy in the winter transfer for a reason, I don't see the point of getting rid of the manager 1/2 way through a team rebuild, we're at least 2, some say 4 or 5 players off what we need, 3 managers in less than 2 seasons is not the way forwards.

Just no.
We should have a shortlist that consists of (in no particular order),
Luis van Gaal
Frank Rijkaard
Jurgen Klopp
Didier Deschamps
Bert van Marwijk
Joachim Low
Pep Guardiola
Jose Mourinho
Andre Villas Boas
Lucien Favre
Marcelo Bielsa
Fabio Capello
I'm not saying a) that they'd all want to come and b)they're all who we'd chose, but that is the calibre of manager we should be looking at to get us back into the champions league.
Also this isn't a call for Kenny's head. I still think he should be given another season at least. We're LFC not Chelsea.
FSG had reservations, they wouldn't give Kenny a contract straight off but bowed to fan power in the end, we got what we asked for and are now reaping the "rewards"
I still stand by Kenny being better than Hodgson, I stand by Rafa being better than both but I'm I'm the "never go back" camp - a new brush is what is needed, to sweep away all the dead wood (yes again)
I don't think our squad's in awful shape. Overpriced, yes, but there's still a lot of potential. Our tactics, formation and the ways in which our players are used are awful, though.
The fact that so many players are underperforming shows that there's plenty of room for improvement. It's quite obvious that players like Downing, Henderson, Kuyt etc are better than they're showing, because they've all played better than they are now.
We just need a manager to get the best out of them; how many players can you honestly say Kenny's getting the best out of? The same mistakes are just being repeated over and over.
I also gave hodgson the benefit of the doubt, until it was clear that there was *nothing* he could do to change our fortunes, he couldn't even raise a smile from the team. I think but for a handful of key situations throughout our season, things wouldn't be as bad as they appear.

im a fan for 30 years of my life.......
it isnt working with kenny.......the league is our bread and butter and kenny has turned us into a mid table team ...we could be 12th next week...
5 defeats outta six......and we couldnt hit water if we jumped into a lake....
i think theres a massive question to be asked about the summer signings...
What baffles me is why we didn't buy in January.
The only explanation which fits is that we thought we'd spent enough on a good selection of players, but we'd had Carroll since the previous January and he'd done little, and for me it all went wrong when Lucas got injured.
Morale is low, has to be. Confidence has clearly gone, but what started the rot in the first place that's what I want to know.
I think sometimes we over analyze everything, some things can't necessarily be explained or blamed away, s#it happens.
Maybe the board didn't trust the current incumbents with any more cash Wishi?
