Got nothing to do with colour clashes.
Its all about marketing and merchandise sales.
From my understanding two teams can't wear the same colour socks, makes it easier for referees to watch who came off last etc. However nowadays what I've noticed with Leeds is if we're away we play in our away kit.
I also remember the days you could mix and match.
If shorts clashed, but shirts didn't you just wore your away team shorts with your home top.
I find orange clashes with green .................
also, blue just doesn't go with mauve .....
and if you're wearing red, you've just got no style ..........
l11dsu4ever I'd rather be dead than a red
I remember when Coventry played Spurs for a charity match and they played in there opposite kits!
Imagine that Happening now!!
Though to be fair most players now wouldn't give a toss what kit there wearing as long as they still get paid!
Traditionalist....... I LOVE our black shirt, I think it's the nicest we have had in years....pity the lady opted for the Blue away shirt, I just make her wear my black one when we're doing it!!!
Don't get me wrong AZA, I love the black kit too, but I don't want to see us wear it against a team wearing all blue. We might as well just stay in all white.
1STAR,
What do you mean who came off last?
