Does not alter the fact though does it.
-------------------------------------
Which fact would that be?
'Time. I keep hearing time this and time that. But let's face it the manager has so many flaws tactically, in his press conferences, transfers and in team selection and at his age he will NEVER change.'
That is where the argument lies, cos i think you are talking utter rubbish! How can a manager who has won the league with two team not know good tactics? Take a look at his signings in the past and say he doesn't know how to sign good players (as always you have forgotton how good Enrique and Belamy have been for a start!).
You are looking at all the negative but non of the positives - this is where time is required or do you REALLY expect a manager to come in and get us competing for the title NEXT season?!!!!
Anyway thank you righteous.
It's an interesting point really. We have many fans from the baltic area who come over to watch but Everton mock that strangely.
I now don't go to as many games as I have a daughter and she is more important to me than Football although I did not think that would happen.
You then get that couple from China who took their wedding here and I dare anyone not to call them a supporter - they have put the club above everything.
Just to digress should a "supporters" view hold more credance than a fans? D
Does media have more of an effect on people who are fans as this is the only way they can read the club 9for want of better words)?

This would be due to tactics being much more evolved now and managers being tactically better.
His signings in the past? You might not want to go down that road. As it stands I don;t want to go into what he did in the past as this is what clouds some peoples judgement. I prefer to concentrate on the present and whilst he has brought stability, his tactics have caused us to lose many points.

Robbing, you're getting confused between your opinion of who is a supporter and who is not and fact. Therefore only in your eyes does my opinion hold less credence than yours.

Media has a major effect on people, of course. However I'd hope that most people don't take what the media write as gospel and spend time seeing things for themselves. For example, I myself do not read newspapers and haven't for a few years, as I grew sick of their antics.
Watching the game is the best way to understand how you team is playing and some might say watching it live, to understand it even more so.

Spot on RAP.
People need to understand than in this globalised world, not only people in Liverpool have the right to an opinion.
I watch the games and don't read the media's opinion of my team whether it be positive or negative.

People are supporters without going to every game. Liverpool without world support would be no better than Everton.
--------------------------------------------------------
Armchairs can be classed as supporters, but fans or "fanatics" can only be regular match goers imo.
Supporters mean nothing to the club unless they are consuming the clubs official merchandise / TV channel etc.
You could have 1 BN Chinese 'supporting' your club, but if they only wore 2 bob snide shirts & YNWA scarves made by some moody Chinese sweatshop, they'd be worth precisely ZILCH in terms of tangible benefit.

Watching the game is the best way to understand how you team is playing and some might say watching it live, to understand it even more so.
---------------------------
I'm glad you've said that because there are things that I notice when I watch a game or highlights back that I do not when I watch the game live and visa versa.
For example it's a lot harder to see the work off the ball tracking back when watching on telly and it's easier to see intent on things like tackles with replays.
Fred,
I don't know why I'm replying to you but anyway
Robbing, you're getting confused between your opinion of who is a supporter and who is not and fact. Therefore only in your eyes does my opinion hold less credence than yours.

No I'm not. I'm not at all. I do wish you'd stop putting words in my mouth.
I know you want to reinforce you're already weak argument, that's fine, but don't persume what I mean please.
Then please correct me!!
Stop being so bloody argumentative and when I'm misinterpreted something you've said, correct me.

Exactly. I feel I see players' workrate much better live, however there are things which occur in a game when I think, WTF?! How did he missed that or why didn't he pass it?! However when i see it later, I get the answer to that. I also feel many people are led by what the commentators say, which is definitely something which happens watching on TV as opposed to at the game.
Stream argfutbol if you don't want to understand. Hilarious when there is a goal as well.

I partially agree but not entirely - and also SC is there for these matters.

But this proves my point and disproves yours! Or were Beardsley, Aldridge, Barnes, Houghton, Shearer, Sutton etc all flukes? And before you list players that you think have failed, just think about SAF, Wenger etc and bad signings they have made. The players he has bought have yet to finish their first season and yet you know them all to be rubbish - don't you think that is a little arrogant?

I do think it is arrogant to suggest players are rubbish in their first season. Hence why I've never done that. You must have me confused with somebody else. I have no big problems with Kenny's signings, his motivation skills, 99% of his press conferences, or any other aspect as for me, he's number one in all of them. My problem is with tactics, team selections and substitutions.
'My problem is with tactics, team selections and substitutions.'
My bad - don't you think that the above is a little arrogant then?
I have touched on this. I can think of many games where the tactics have been spot on. I was saying the other day thaty a good tactic would be restricting their chances and creating our own and the most part we have done that.
I think the tactics have been stiffled due to Lucas being out and I don't think we are good enough to lose Lucas, Gerrard and Suarez for huge parts of the season.
Again - I don't think that is down to tactics.
