Honestly , I did not expected English to fell easily to Herath and Randiv. Both are not in the leagueof Harbhajan,Ajmal.Swann etc but I think there are mental scars thats adversely affecting their batting.
PR, I did not expect to fall to Rehman either (who I always thought of as Pakistan's answer to Richard Illingworth)
Anways best chance for english is to give a dash rather than block and pick runs from edges.Need some solid hitting which Broad is perfectly capable to do so.
Fancy Broady to come out and deal in boundaries after tea. Can't see us winning, but reckon we'll make them a bit nervous, get to within about 40

Your names sounds as silly as Bell's disappointment to lbw.
Both are not in the leagueof Harbhajan,Ajmal.Swann etc but

lol Harbhajan is a pile of poo these days.
comment by Asia conquered- next is Africa (U10140)
your name sounds like you do not like anyone but the Western world!

It was a pathetic LBW decision
Time for Monty to impress!
Monty to win this for England
Do not like democracy,interest- driven financial sector but like Chelsea and Angelina Jolie.
Well, it's all over.
I have to say I am more than a little disappointed, we should have won that game but for some loose shots and a few ropey catches.
Oh well, on to the next test....
Our once mighty batting line up now looks no better than NZ....
We do not deserve to be rank1
Shocking, again. Same old story.
A much better performance than many expected but it was always a total too far.
we allowed them far too many runs in both of their innings. Broad's no ball cost 42 runs and the dropped catches of Jayawardene 40- 80 more.
However if Strauss, Pietersn and Bell had recognized that playing straight was the safe way to play a win was possible.
Well, they have to abandon this block block strategy against spin and be more aggressive and if they fell victims to full tosses then be it but they cannot treat Herath ( with all due respect) like Shane Warne.Aussies were more aggressive against spin in lanka 6-8 months back and it paid dividends.
India will murder us when we play them this year....
With lanka's win, next match track will be a placid one.1-0 Lanka.
Asia conquered they tried being aggressive. They managed to be bowled out for 190 in 40 overs.
Go back to basics. Play straight, defend the bad balls, nurdle the slightly off line balls, and hit the bad ones. Don't know why it's so difficult
Well Played SL.
England just not good enough. Even when Trott's innings was looking like getting England out of jail, his partners ended up getting out everytime England had that glimmer of hope. A sign of a team that is losing tests regularly.
A slight improvement from the performance in the UAE (especially the 4th innings), but England really need to win the next match.
