Madrid could be having a little clear out of quality players, remember when they did it with your love child Sneijder? + the likes of Robben etc, Madness.

If the likes of Higuain or Sahin are available I'd like to think we'd be in the running to get them

Modric would be a good signing but he will likely be expensive.

Modric would flop

Javi Martinez

Javi Martinez should be our number one target.

Would love Javi Martinez. I'm intrigued to see what will happen with the striking department. Berbatov is obviously going, and I think we need more than Rooney, Hernandez, Welbeck, Macheda and Owen as our strike force, especially if we want to compete in Europe again. Higuain would be great, but will we get him?

I feel Martinez and Carrick are in the same mold, both want to sit. I think we need someone willing to push on and be a bit more creative such as Modric.

Martinez is more mobile, stronger a great passer and would be perfect for us, him and Carrick would work well.

A solid midfield for once which would allow wingers and strikers better platform to perform.

Be prepared to be slated by the "don't buy big" and "stick to football manager" brigade. This article won't go down well with these fans.

If Modric is so creative why does Valencia have more assists than him? Modric is so overrated and he struggles in the big games, I'd have said Sandro performed much better against us in WHL a month ago. I do hope Modric isn't considered, I would love Martinez or Hazard to come to the club. Hazard can play in the hole behind the striker and act as our playmaker, he's also an option for the wing too.

That is true some seem to want to hold us back.

Can't wait to see when they strike on this article.
Don't you know Anderson is still young and has potential and will come good (next year will always be Andersons year for the past 4 years)and Park should be kept because he is loyal and Bebe is still young (however tripe he may be).

Who mentioned buying Modric for his creativity?

As a central midfielder I think he is very good and would fit in well beside Carrick.

Modric is cr@p you don't want him <whist

Bit off topic but is there any news on Fletcher?

MUDD is right, you really are a plastic git aren't you? Park has been the most loyal player for us in the past 8 years and put in quality performances and now you feel he should be moved on just because he's had some bad performances this season? He's a great squad player to have and is it his fault he was played out of position which resulted in terrible performances? He doesn't feature much for us and that's why he hasn't been on form, you're a disgusting fan with no respect towards these players that've put in hard work for United and the manager.

Fletcher hopes to feature next season once his bowel condition is better:

You'd expect a winger to have more assists than a Central midfielder though surely? Carrick can hold midfield while Modric could be more advanced to feed our Valencia/Rooney etc. + the football manager shouts are inevitable but for once I think we do actually need to spend big this summer. We need to so we can compete with the likes of City domestically and the Barca's,Madrids' and Bayern's of Europe.
