Brilliant to watch, absolutely love Muniain!
They are so effective and never give up. What a goal from Muniain.
What I really like about Bilbao apart from being effective in counter attack. They are so merciless good. Unbelievable stuff.
Demba I assume you watch it. Raul still has got it. He showed it.
I left the game at 2-1 to Schalke and come back to find out it's 4-2 That's Schalke pretty much out then, they had a good home record too.
no i have just came back from work, it was 2-1 schalke when i left work and I came home to turn the tv on and saw the horrific sight

So glad I caught the second half. Raul's goal was fantastic, as was Munain's. Huntelaar was very unlucky as well.
Bilbao are just brilliant though, I love watching them.

don't worry I am confident in bilbao we can win 4-0 and huntelaar to score all 4

Muniain was immense, next big thing in Spanish football.
Bilbao played like they did in Manchester. Their counter attacks were too effective. When Bilbao draw to 2-2 they gone for the third and fourth goal.
I too left the game at 2-1. Schalke should have been out of sight. Raul and especially Farfan were brilliant.

Same for me, El Cap.
Couldn't believe it when I turned back at the end.
I'd hate to be a Schalke 2-04 fan tonight.
I wish we could buy Muniain.
Wonder if there was any truth to the rumours linking us to Lewis Holtby?
I hope not, haven't been impressed with him at all. He is a good player but we need something special.
I never understand what all the fuss is about Holtby. Not good enough for Arsenal.
Have to say that's what I thought based solely on tonight too, WmyC.
But that is a little unfair of me, as it's the first time I've seen him play.
Lex, he was never Arsenal standard. Holtby would add to our deadwood. Trust me.
I remember Guilleme Balague talking up Muniain 2 or 3 years go, seems he was right... for once
Muniain is sublime and only 19, wow.
Gunnerthru, I know you are competent about German football since you live in Germany and watch the Bundesliga on a regular basis, yet I cannot help but think you are being a little too harsh on Holtby.
He has just returned from a lengthy injury. Every time a player recovers, he needs some games to get back to match fitness and form.
In addition, similar to Schweini, who became a central midfielder although he was originally a winger/attacking midfielder, Holtby is being played in a more 'unspectacular' role for Schalke as compared to his role for Mainz, where he was a very effective attacking player along with Schurle and Szalai.
While I do not agree with you saying that he is an average player, I don't think Arsenal really need him anyway. But I do believe we will still see him making an impact in German club and international football
