If only these mockers knew what the wrestlers go through.
Most of them die at a young age due to the addiction to painkillers as they perform week in week out. The ring is not a bouncy castle you know. I've got a friend who wrestles around the country on the international circuit and most people that try out for wrestling don't come back after the first training session. Taking a bump is more painful than you think - just read the books, they all tell you that
I would be interested in reading one of the books. Which is best?
It sounds like Jerichos is tbh.
Bret harts is outstanding... Even if he is a little arrogant.
Jerichos 'a lions tale' is anothe fantastic read. You don't realise how much Jericho has accomplished and how he perfected his craft in Mexio with the Lucha libre, germany with the European grapplers and japanese with WAR.
He really did climb the ladder and deserves to be the top guy. Thus is kind of why I don't like to hear Punk claiming he is the best wrestler.
But Bret and Jerichos are 2 of the best books i've ever read. The famous hart dungeon was actually one of Jerichos place of training.... If just for a little while.
Agree with everyone above, especially largehat (that's word for word why wrestling attracts me). Seeing as you (De Jong) have been pwned from every possible angle, i'll go down the unconvention route
ALL sports have elements of corruption. Any sport that gets bet on at some point or another has had it's outcome fixed. What makes wrestling an exception is it's honesty regarding favouritism

Haters always gonna hate, as they say on the internet. It always makes me laugh when people come along saying things like 'u do relise its fake rite?' [sic] for example. With absolutely no prior understanding of the pro-wrestling industry, what it's about, what the performers/athletes go through to get to the top of the business and what it also means to the fans who pay money to watch it. It's sheer naivety.
You don't start having a go at people who watch Coronation Street and tell them it's 'NOT REAL!!!11!1!!'.
Jesus Christ. Some people need to get a grip.
Oh, and if you (any random troll reading) do not like it, then don't bother posting. It's not difficult. If you still insist on posting your ill-advised vitriol then please leave a small note after your post indicating your own interests and/or hobbies and I'll gladly try to ridicule you for them.
If you want to at one mans stupidity read Bock Lesnar - Death Clutch
but i would recomend both jericho books
Has anyone read anything by Mick Foley?
I live in Blackburn and I'm not sure if the books in our library are even in English.
i normally just download the pdfs of the books
I've only read two books Ric Flair: To Be the Man and Shaun Michaels - Heartbreak and Triumph.
I'm currently reading Kurt Angle's - It's True! It's True!
