Lets be honest about both him and King, they are past it, their legs have gone.

surely you are kidding?
Gallas was comfortably one of our top 3 players away at chelsea...
Bale and VDV probably being the other two...
Gallas was also a shining light against Sunderland away. I admit, King has had his off days too - but he still has more on days than off, by a ratio of about 9-1.
Modric & Bale have had off-days too, so has BAE, but we never seem to slate these players, only the easy-tageted ones.
Friedel is the weak link for me.

I believe you sit behind the goal at WHL ?? Well if so, surely you can see from there that Gallas's legs have gone ??
Spurcat...
yup behind the goal.. i thought he played well yesterday
Also i think he is a winner and great for the team to have out there.
Of course he's a winner Chronic, he's got a proven winning mentality and we have been grateful to him for giving us that. But, that doesn't mean his legs aren't going, because they certainly are. It's obviously still there in his head which has got him through games, but physically, he's knackered.

Are you serious ?
Gallas got done so many times against Chelsea by the ball over the top it was damned embarrassing.
To be fair he has a winners mentality but then so do I but my legs have also gone
How can you honestly believe that he is up to the standard we want to be at ? We want CL football but you saw him taken to pieces in the europa at our place and thats not even half the standard of the CL.
King is a far better player than Gallas and he is no longer good enough or fast enough. Sorry but Kaboul looked twice the player Gallas did on Sunday.
This summer gallas and king need replacing. Kaboul has been our best cb this season. All i said was v Swansea and Chelsea gallas was our best centre back on the day. Not sure how anyone can argue with that to be honest

so, who do you want to bring in then to lead them 5 lads ?

he's not a saffa actually is he ? he's brazilian. we signed some cb who plays for brazil u21 or something. he's supposed to be thebollocks. ineligible until next season.
Kaboul still needs more mentoring from the King.
Caulker back to start to claim his future in the CB pairing.
king's f___ked though. better off bringing gary mabbutt back.
yeah i know who you mean that brazil under 20 kid but the name escaped me
he's getting younger.
he must be good.
The name you're trying to think of is Bruno Uvini. Don't hold your breath on this fella: I saw him in a friendly at Spurs Lodge a few weeks ago and he was all over the place.

I'm not writing the player off, as I don't do that after only seeing him the once. I am saying, don't build him into your plans for a while yet
Spurcat,
Did Uvini not give you any hope at all? Did you not see any potential, ie. is he quick, is he (particularly) good in the air, good on the deck etc?
he's said chicken. his positioning didnt look good, but he hasnt written him off
over,
I can see he hasn't written him off. And knowing Spurcat's stance on these boards, i know he wouldn't do so on the basis of minimal performances.
I just wondered what he thinks his strengths might be, ie. why we may have seen potential in the first place, as in if he's lightning quick, unstoppable in the air, or other?
