I would have them too Myth,, Not many sides would have success down our left flank with those two in tandem.
Taylor has always been a thorn in our side when ever we play Oldham....And apparently is leaving on a free at the end of the season....
Lewington is consistantly the best player we play against every season. He totally runs the show at MK Dons. Not many full backs are as effective as him, as he dictates all forward monoeuvres...Perfect for town he would be...
We said the same about Peter Clark when he played against us for trany.
Do you mean Kay? Taylor has got ankle ligament damage last night for Oldham.
Taylor got carried off last night with a suspected serious ankle injury, but today they have said he will be out for rest of season, so maybe last nights game against Brentford was his last for Oldham...Shame for him and Oldham cos he's done the full stint there since was a kid....
Oh yes kay, and clark when he played for southend. But they did get clarked I suppose.

Play the way we have been (hoofball) and we'll be nackered. We proved at their place that if you try and get physical and play them at their own game that we've no chance. However, the 30 minutes of the match where we played football produced 4 goals, they can't cope with it...
Massive match, winner gets 3rd place!
This is not a 6 pointer...
3rd place = nothing...
We are playing for 2nd place only....
Between now and next saturday at Preston, there will have been 3 vital games..
And there is a very realistic chance of being level with Sheff Utd by then with 9 points from 3 (reasonably easy, winnable) games..........
I love the optisimism of Hudds fans
'Very realistic chance of being level with Sheff Utd'
'Madine will sign for us'
Cas you also seem to talk about us like we're managed by Megson, we've changed a lot since DJ has been put in charge, you'll see on Saturday.
Big match, Town have to play football and not get battered and bullied by them, jones is due a defeat, we need the win more than them, they would be very happy with a draw believe me! We are at home, its make or break time.
Wetherby, I wouldn't be happy with a draw, especially if the blunts win as I expect they will. A draw just plays into their hands. Both teams have to go for a win, so it should be entertaining.
As Owlsforever said, we play a different game under Jones that has brought 5 wins and a draw since he took over, so let's see how Grayson adapts your tactics to it.
A draw would normally be ok, however a draw is no good for anyone tomorrow. Draw or lose 5-0 we settle for play-offs if the blunts beat Bouremouth (not a huge ask).
Incidentally, I'm quietly confident that Wednesday will win.
Agree Brig, a draw is no good for either team. I'd have thought the udders would have realised by now that draws get you nowhere in this league. Out of Utd, Wednesday and udders, the team that goes up automatic will be the one that wins the most out of the remaining games. It's sheite or bust from here on in!
I suppose if I was a Utd fan, I'd want a draw or Town to win, as an Owls win puts them 2nd. A draw is certainly no good to Town, and even a win might not end up being enough now we've frittered away so many points this season.
It is so annoying that we never seemed to add any urgency to our game earlier in the season, just accepting we've thrown away a winning position again...but there's always next week. Well now with only 6 games left and 20 odd points carelessly given away...time has run out.
if we miss out by a couple of points, the Bury game, where we're cruising 3-0, will certainly come back to haunt us.
Our only hope is that if we apply pressure to Utd that they will crack, and if we beat the Owls then they can't catch us if we win up.
"I'd have thought the udders would have realised by now that draws get you nowhere in this league."
What!? Someone could have told us that a little bit earlier!
Owls are MASSIVE forever...
I know you're not as direct as you were under Muppet Megson, but I also know that you do still use your "strength" a lot. You have a really big and physical squad so there's nothing wrong with that at all, but we shouldn't be trying to compete in that department.
We have a massive weakness in the middle of the park, but if we're on our game we have enough strength out wide and up front to worry you lot in my opinion, as we showed at your place. A couple of quick passes and early crosses into the box and you couldn't cope, unless you've signed a new back 4 I don't see how that could have changed too much?
Whatever happens it will be a big game, and the win at orient might just have ensured we have a decent home backing and the players have a bit of confidence in themselves after the catastrophe at Carlisle! I'll go for a decent crowd (for us) of around 18,000 and a 2-2 draw, effectively sealing second place for the Blades.
Sorry, was that a bit of a claridgism?
There are 6 points to play for in 48 hrs! Sheff U don't play till Tuesday away at Rochdale, so twice in 48 hrs we have the chance to play a bit of catch up on them!
Now you mention it Cas, we have 2 new defenders out of the four that played against you at Hillsborough.
Buxton is a consistently good defender and Roberts(if he plays) won't get as much joy as he did against Tavernier who was at fault for both of the goals in the first half.
Also, the tortoise as he's known, Rob Jones isn't playing so Llera should do better.(He's easy to spot, wears a headmask thingy like Petr Cech's)
The thing I'm looking forward to most could well be...
Tony Kay vs Jose Semedo
Semedo is a kitten compared to mad man Kay..
Who's the ref ?
Did we conclude it's pay on the day ...?
Just phoned ticket office ...It is ALL TICKET...in case anyone else didn't know...
Have Sheff Weds sold any tickets for their end yet?....
Wouldn't be suprised if none of them turn up...
Quiet day in the Gasworks Club I reckon....
