Carlo Out - Right or Wrong Decision?

I've spent the last 30 minutes scanning the internet for available managers and can't find anything. Off the top of my head I wouldn't mind seeing Louis van Gaal.

God forbid we get Avram back.

If Guus Hiddink is to be the chosen one, then RA will have his way I suppose.

But Carlo deserved to have at least another Season, and maybe even with Players of his choosing!

I'd like to see Villa-Boas in personally

I'm not sure tbh, the signings most of us think he made Ramires and Luiz have been good.

This leads me to beleive that given a chance to build his team he would have done well but it would seem fate went against.

But alas it was not to be so I'm wandering if we will go for Hiddink, Zola or Villa boas as the replacement

Yeah I forgot Villa Boas but he has said he would like at least one more year at Porto

Im genuinely upset, when I saw it on bbc sport I felt a bit sick.

Im totally gobsmacked!

Ive literally just dragged myself out of the library and saw the news.

As much as i didnt want Carlo to go, our performances have been awful! Todays performance just took the biscuit.

Now i didnt see the whole game but malouda looked awful Again! No one seemed to offer any width, they couldnt get into their stride and never looked like we could break Everton down. Anelka look like the best player on the pitch for us along with terry.

Alex was awful and i can understand he's just come back from a long lay off.

Our team just didint look as though we had the ability to do anything offecnsively.

I honestly have no words for whats happeningto our club

Personally I felt that we should have kept Ancellotti. Now he's gone I assume that it will be back to Hiddink with possibly Zola as coach.

One thing that will have me tearing my hair out at the stupidity of it is if Grant comes back in ANY capacity. He never should have got the job last time and he has even less to commend him for the position now.

to me seemed pretty rash to sack a maneger that won the double last season and adsmist all sorts of turmoil (wilkins, torres still got second) still got second.

crazy roman

Freindly Gooner here. Just an observation.

Villa Boas seems to be a popular choice to suceed Ancellotti. But unless he wins at least our " Double" in his first season, he'll be out on his ear I suspect. Albeit with a nice wedge. The job ?? it's a poisoned chalice

Thank you and goodnight, Proudgooner

to be honest I think its too harsh , but I dont feel so bad as when I heard Mourinho was sacked , I still believe
to this day that was a mistake...if anyone i would like to see andre villas- Boas take over we need some hungry new players in too , if it means a while to rebuild on solid foundations so be it, but please ! some wisdom and vision for the future

You are Roger Moore and I claim my £5

For the right reasons. He is too laid back. Most Of his game plans and tactics are not aggressive enough. Chelsea is an aggressive team and needs an aggressive coach.

You can't expect to win something every year - even Fergie has had his barren years at Utd. If you are thinking long-term, if you are planning for both the present and the future, then you have to give your manager time to try and achieve that. Chopping and changing managers just causes instability within the club and it is difficult to achieve success in such at amosphere.

Chelsea just seem to go out and spend as much money as possible - there needs to be a plan in place and that means showing a degree patience. Having completed the double last year, has Ancellotti suddenly become a bad manager? A very poor decision for me.

Sorry, but that isn't a plan - more thought needs to go into it, yes of course you have to buy players, but also develop the youth system, have a long term strategy. And if this plan of spend, spend, spend is working so well, why go through so many managers in recent years and sack the current one?

More worried about still playing with Lampard game after game after game.

UTD fan in peace... I think it was too harsh and Chelsea seem to chop managers at the tip of anything really!

With no long term manager how will the consistency and fluid football come? You seem to rip through managers every 18 months, that cant be good for morale and the backroom staff don't know if they are coming or going.

What happens if you get someone this year and you guys win the EPL next season and a year later win nothing?? Another sacking???

Kinsang is right, managers might have the odd year or two with nothing or a Carling Cup but they have to be given a longer chance to shine, its don't like Chelsea are bottom of the league! Look at Fergie... 20 odd years and a few off years, still the most successful manager in the world!

Since RA took over you've had one manager we've had 5,excluding Hiddink who was always a temp,In that time we've been your only serious challengers and won just a little less than you.
I'm not sure there is all that much in this stability thing tbh.

Ok so we are close on trophies but lets just say RA has put 600-700 million in to Chelsea to BUY that, we wont have spent anywhere close (due to the fact we don't have it lol).

So you get a new manager this summer and he is told you can have who ever you want to win the Champions League and he does and fails, more money spent trying to emulate class.
