For me Kossy turned into one of the best defender in the Premier League. It annoys me if people say otherwise. We must make sure that Kossy's current contract will be extended as soon as possible.

Kamran, as much as i like Koscielny and think he is the best defender this season, I still think Djourou was better last season, he actually played okay paired with Squillaci, but Kos and Squid was horrendous

Fair enough, but I don't agree. Over the course of the season, Kossy was better imo. He had one or two bad games, but overall he was solid. Djourou wasn't great after coming back from his injury, he made a lot of errors, although overall he also had a great season.

Tbh, Djourou was only played alongside Squillaci 2 or 3 times and they were against average sides.

Even when Kos was playing well last season nobody realised it because everyone was focusing on the mistakes. His defending one on one, tackling and reading of the game was all still there.

True, but i think the Kos - Squid combo was worse as Squid is just rubbish and Kos was new to the premier league it didn't help that he was playing with someone so bad, but now that he has a had a full season he's much more in control and confident and just a better player

8bit, i agree, im not saying he didn't have his good games because he did but now this season he has made less mistake and has had many more good games

Djourou was a beast in the first half of the season though.

What I was trying to say is that name one defender who could play decent together with Squillaci.

But then again why is Djourou becoming so bad? I dont trust him whenever he is in the team.

Djourou isn't at bad as some people make out. Like when Kos got injured before Villa everone freaked out about JD but he did OK.

I know gunnerthru he was really bad something, imo it's mental weakness more than lack of ability because last year he played well for a long time consistently.
