Team For Newcastle

I think me and HH agree with each other with Ngog. Its fine naming other lone strikers but look who they have around them. Jelavic has Pienaar, Cahill, Gibson. Yakubu has Hoilett, Olsson, Dunn. Graham has Dyer, Sigurdsson, Sinclair. All those players are far more creative than what we have. At least one of them makes a run past the striker, they alternate positions to help create things. We have Petrov and Ryo who stick to the wings putting balls into the box, which is great but we have nothing throught the centre which is where the best chances are created. Mavies has ability but for whatever reason rarely showcases it as shown with his 1 assist. Ngog is trying his best to create things and help the team but he has very little support around him for him to create chances for or create chances for him.

Mavies one assist is when he dived aswell.

Summed up well GG.

Ngog is actually a good finisher,

Please no you cant be serious. Sorry but thats simply wrong. 3 goals. A good finisher would score these amazing chances he carves for himself. Dont come on here and make stuff up.

Plus I like Ngog but I am not prepared to come on here and make stuff up.

How many clear cut chances has he missed? How many has he had? How many half chances has he had? He makes half chances out of nothing, who said amazing chabces? No one. The aforementioned strikers strengths are played too, Ngog are not.

Why are you making stuff up and twisting stuff Petrov, I don't understand your agenda.

He has scored three goals. Things like he puts a shift or tries hard will get better could be attached to Ngog.

Good finisher no thats a lie

He hasn't had a chance to show this while at Bolton.
We need to play down the middle, get it to his feet and let him get in behind.
In the past he's shown it with goals for Liverpool and PSG.
Launching balls into the area is wasted when it's his feet and pace that will get him goals.

Thats an excuse he had two chances today and fluffed them both. Good finishers score goals with limited chances. Your talking out of your arris. I like him but he is not a good finisher!

Your obsessed with excuses.

I'm giving my opinion on the REASON why I think he's not bein utilised to his absolute best.

Well RVP averages 4-5 shots a game, Rooney the same, they have 20+ goals. Are they 'good' finishers?

Ngog averages 1.8, and alot our half chances he's made from flick and shot. Klasnic is an exception to the rule who happens to play for us. He has 8 goals and averages 2 shots a game. Even Sturridge averaged 3.8 shots a game for us.

Are RVP and Rooney good finishers? Please

So you agree that Ngog has a lack of service then? Especially through the middle which is his strength?

But RVP an Rooney only score as many as they do because they have so many shots, RVP himself can be wasteful seeing as he has missed 18 sitters this season. But as he makes up for it so no-one notices. Not as bad as Adebayor though for wasting chances, atleast their teams play in a way that creates chances for them time after time, good chances aswell.

Petrovino people all see things differently. That's not the same as lying. Chill out.

That was poor today folks, really poor!.I have taken time to digest before commenting tonight,I predicted a 2 nil defeat but that today was shocking, and it has been coming.Ngog well he is a waste of space,if he his a centre forward then I am a bloody firework!.Thank Jesus the clowns around have done us a favour.

I know that but Holden isnt stupid so saying a guy with 3 goals is a good finisher is fabricating the truth

posted on 7/4/12

I think there's some confusion between "a good finisher" and "able to finish well", reading back through it. Still think 'fabrication' is the same thing as 'lying' but I've made my point.

Think Holdens head is full of magic Vortep!.

Ah Largehat
You watch the cricket today?. Bloomin long dong spoiled by that rubbish. The goodwill balance and all that went today,we were expolited as a very very poor organised team. That comes down to one man in my opinion!.

posted on 7/4/12

I'm not fabricating, he is but were not utilising him correctly.
Get him 1 on 1 and he'll bag it. Get him through, get the ball to his feet in the area, don't lob it into the area and expect him to muscle past a burely centre back.
By showing you the stats to back up my reasoning I thought you would understand rather than choosing to ignore so you can think your right.

posted on 7/4/12

Funny how he missed his chance today. Stats can be used to prove any point. Your not a politician stas are not always facts. Facts are three goals is a poor return. Not a good one

posted on 7/4/12

Which chance today? I remember his turn and shot from 20 yards and when he knocked it past Hangeland and ran through but Riise got across to block him on edge of area. Switched to SSN partway through second half.

1 chance in the game, not 3 or 4. He doesn't get enough chances, and not in good positions. There's no service from centre midfield, it's as simple as that, and do you really expect Reo Coker, Mavies or Pratley to supply that?

posted on 7/4/12

He had two chances in the box which were weakly shot at the keeper

posted on 7/4/12

Why has Yakubu scored so many goals with an poor midfield behind. Answer A good finisher.
