Id have him to deal with transfers only
Deal with transfers only?
He's incredible with tactics yet you wouldn't want him running that part of the club?!
Rafa has got to be one of the best tactical managers and you only want him for transfers, you silly boy
Rafa
I've already debated this earlier and my feelings are still the same. Time to move on with someone new and fresh so no to Rafa.
Also there is no evidence that big money is available to buy new players. Remember the Carroll and Suarez purchase was paid by Torres and Babel and then in summer we sold Meiereles to balance the books so if KK leaves the next manager is not going to have a bottemless pit.
the next manager is not going to have a bottemless pit.

Has rafa ever needed a huge fund?
I don't remember H&G giving him all that he wanted

I do feel Rafa lost a bit of the dressing room before he left but what would the likes of skrtel (player of the season) agger, reina, johnson, gerrard, carra, Lucas, kuyt even kelly would think as these are still his players!!!
he would not need time to settle as these are most of his players.

totally agree! We need forward thinking, no more backward thinking!
Even as a fan watching games I learnt more about tactics than I had under any of our previous managers.
All this "shouldn't go back" crowd... It's not going back, it would be righting a wrong that Hicks and Gillet orchestrated.
I would be chuffed to bits if Rafa did come back but only if Dalglish feels he can't take us any further.

Very heart on sleeve stuff, however they all played their roles in the demise of the club! Just look how Rafa got on with the Inter board and hasnt had a job since!
and no one would ever let pinky and perky near a sporting business ever again! Epic swindle my left elbow!
Not very good on his CV and the dressing room was lost as someone said earlier, why bring more uncertainty back? We gotta bring someone respected in and we would be able to get a decent enough manager in, as we are LFC and we should be able to spend in the summer!

Fred, he can't be a Liverpool fan. I wouldn't let Rafa anywhere near a transfer kitty.
That said, I think I speak on behalf of all United fans on wishing Rafa a speedy return to Anfield.
Has anybody read 44 months with a pair of cowboys? I'm in the middle of it and the crap Rafa had to deal with was absolutely ridiculous, although he could have stopped worrying about boardroom politics.
Id take Rafa like a shot, but i still feel that Kenny will get us the title; but if Kenny decided that he should move upstairs and Rafa came back that would be the dream ticket to me, esp with the funds Rafa would now have.
The plus sides are that they both worked together before, they both truly love the club, and tactically Rafa is (to me anyway) THE best tactical manager around.
People forget, it was only when Rafa had to sell to buy or had (relative) little money his signings were not the best, when he had money he was fine.
Even, Keane and Aqualini were top players and Keane was in the squad that finished runner up while Aqualini never had a chance with woy and the cowboys.
i still feel that Kenny will get us the title

This is my opinion:
Kenny has to go in order for us to build this summer. We need ideas and a new tactically astute manager.
Rafa is the best manager available. If not, who else would leave their club to join us that has a successful track record?
I can't believe no one has mentioned Dennis Wise to be Technical Director
We had two seasons listening to fans complain about the poor team selections, the really bizarre substitutions, and some crazy formations. Even your captain was left frustrated and bemused.
Explain how Benitez is a tactical genius? You weren't saying it when you still had him.
Closest possible team with Rafa's players now BEFORE further signings:
Reina
Johnson Skrtel Agger Aurelio
Kuyt Aquilani Lucas Maxi
Gerrard
Suarez
JSA
Probably wouldn't include Suarez in there... Just saying.

He is the only manager that was able to tactically outthink Mourinho on regular occurrences....
