how much has Whitty signed for?
heard he was offerered £25k/wk, no way he's worth that much, imo
whittaker has just taken you to the cleaners OP...
one of the highest earners at ibroke.....
you couldnae make it up if you tried
only a bear could see that as good news!
"great bit of business"
To make Whittaker one of the top earners at the club? I agree
haha the bhoys always need to put negative spin on EVERYTHING rangers!
Great news. Hopefully davis commits as well. Encouraging to see.
i see utd have said "no" to you as well for goodwillie...
part line says interest has cooled until his court case is over...
?? you were willing to bid 1 million...yes 1 million pounds on a player...
yet the tune changes now his club want 2 million.,....
at what point in the decision making process do you consider bidding 1 million on an accused rapist to be acceptable, yet require more time to make a bid for 2 million pending his case..
basically they were willing to make a "punt" at 1 mill but not 2!!
are rangers rolling in it these days that they can gamble 1 million?
i love this new board....
anyhow....another says naw
whats worse paying Whittaker £20k a week for the next few years service or paying the mercenary Rab Keane (pen) £65k for 3 months?
I know who i'd rather have
Whittaker has held your club to ransom......From Bursaspor
McGregor from....Eh, well, emmmm
ooofft 6994 is STILL hurting!
Luvvly jubbly!

Celtic really got one over us!
or bullard, campbell et all!
It happens!
yeah, 6 good months in 4 years at 25k a week.
its great to have money innit? on a scale of 1 thru 10, how much does it bother you that the "biscuit tin" team can outspend you...especailly after all these years of "rangers have a bigger net spend" posts...
not much. Would have liked commons admittedly! Great player.
Hey ho, just need to console myself knowing our skint team has wiped the floor domestically for 3 years against your 'rich ' team!
Thems the breaks!
Same as it bothers you the tic have not been champs in 3 years i would surmise.
puyol - nah, it doesnt bother the bhoys....
MUCH!
(U6994)
Just why do you bother? Your petty wee jibes makes absolutely no difference to the fact Rangers have won 3IAR. That is a team which includes Whittaker.
The day you know more about what to pay a player than the bosses of Rangers is the day I'll eat my pants
6994 does seem to be struggling particularily badly!
Excellent news.
Delighted with a 6 year deal for McSha-gger
Giving Whittaker a 5 year deal on that money is a bit rash, almost no chance of shifting him if he has a bad season or we want rid.
Now all we need is Whyte to get his hand out his wallet for some new signings.
it's good news for the fans that two stalwarts have committed their futures to the club. It also shows the players have faith in the manager and the plans he has to take the club forward. But to pay Whittaker 20-25k per week is just an extra ordinary amount for a guy who is a bog standard professional. McGregor I can see the reasoning, he is as close to a world class keeper as Rangers are likely to get these days and the lad could have easily gone on to one of the big clubs down south.
The length of the contracts is also rather interesting. Both are incredibly long, and some fans might argue that it demonstrates how committed the players are. This might be true if it wasn't for the fact that Whittaker's agent said that he had declined the club's final offer, and it wasn't until they came in with the final, final offer that he penned a new agreement. So the length of the contract would indicate that the club were somewhat over a barrel, and with the lack of new signings even more so.
So from a Celtic perspective, good news you've re signed Whittaker and bad news you've re signed McGregor. But the fact that you've lost the millions from selling McGregor to reinvest in new players is good, and now it is public knowledge what these guys are on, it's only a matter of time before other players, better players come knocking on the managers door looking for a pay hike. 25k per week is not affordable in Scotland, and I think Mr Whyte might be creating a wage bubble which in the mid to long term just isn't sustainable.
But for now it's good news for the fans, and the grumbling due to lack of transfer activity will be placated for a while.
Has anyone eve seen Whittaker cut out a cross since he arrived at Ibrox?
I see some celts are still referring to Ibrox at Ibroke but insist we've never been broke because we've spent £30mill pounds but when it suits another agenda, Rangers are "broke".
It is the level of banter i'd expect from a 5-year-old with learning difficulties.

dos my expert advice is free of charge and doled out wherever and whenever i see fit. Your whitabootery is tedious in the extreme and if you cant read an opinion which you may not agree with without acting like an eleven year old little girl, then i suggest you dont read my comments.
