Ox probably shouldn't be there.

RVP should easily win the senior award.

Aguero for young player.

"Can someone tell me why the Ox is there? Don't get me wrong, very exciting prospect but he's hardly started alot of games has he? And why isn't Evans or Carrick there? This is crap"

He's there because Gary Neville loves him. Same with Bale and Walker.

I think anybody with a single functioning brain cell will decided RVP should win the senior award

So you're expecting him to get 100% of the votes then?

I dn't like the fact they consider age 24 for young player some players playing since age of 17-18 in first team for top clubs....6 years of experience and still called young pathetic..that age limit should be 21

You are assuming that I think all footballers have functioning brain cells.

IMO It should be:

Player of the year: Van Persie, Aguero, Mata, Carrick, Koscielny, Kompany

Young player of the year: Krul, Walker, Szczesny, Bale, Hoillett, Mclean

I've never taken the PFA's seriously since Giggs won the award. Or Bale winning last season. Just a host a star-struck lower league players voting their favourite players on FIFA.

FECKING OXLADE-CHAIMBERLAIN??? This is why the voting shouldn't be done in January.

Hows that when Neville's 2 cbs of the year Colo and Kompany aren't anywhere near the list?

Rooney & Bale should be nowhere near that list.

What about Carroll?

Kompany????????

posted on 16/4/12

And Young Player of the Year shouldn't be awarded to anyone over 21.

Tbh I didn't even know that but G.Nev creams himself over AOC, Bale and Walker all the time and the people watching the games he analyses or commentates on start agreeing with him.

By the way I am not having a go at G.Nev, I'm just saying that to the players, his opinion in football is a very important one. It is the same thing that won Rooney the PFA Player of the Year award over Drogba in 09/10 despite the latter being far better. Andy Gray creaming himself whenever the ball came in contact with Rooney's head won him at least 50% of votes alone.

I think it's not only football, it's done like that in all walks of life. No many people bother to think before voting

Taarabt

OX is in as he is English, pure and simple...i love the kid and being a gooner love the fact he is on the list, but it is stupid due to his limited game time...somone mentioned Demba was not good since African nations...if thats the reason why are Spurs players in the list? they have been relegation form since the new year.

Surely Carroll and Torres also make that list

Sturridge: 24 apps, 10 goals
Welbeck: 28 apps, 8 goals.

Welbeck makes the short-list.

Because you can still play well and be on a team that is otherwise poor.

Look at RVP at Arsenal.

I still chuckle whenever I remember that season. Drogba scored more, assisted FAR more and fired his team to a domestic double. It wasn't just the fact Rooney won the awards but the fact it was a landslide and virtually unanimous.

The media were absurd about Rooney that season and actually put him on the same pedestal with Messi and ahead of Ronaldo mid-season because of a series of headers and tap-ins and the whole country were brainwashed by the rabid hype. It was just incredible.
