On The Grayson Point Jacko .. I felt he 'Played' it about right ..
Pretty Low Key .. and hey after the torrid Run and Re-introduction to League One that he's had he was hardly gonna be doing an imperious Harry Basset all Singing & Dancing Impression was he ..
Normally I'm Paulo De Canio .. I'm Gus Poyet .. I'm Nellie Warnock .. I'm Ian Holloway .. Anyone thats Larger Than Life .. But On Grayson I'm rather Quietly Feeling Pretty about everything .. Smug ? Mmm Maybe.. ? .. I'll only have mi'self to blame BUT then I know me better than anyone and my People Judgements rarely let me down ..
I feel you should stick with good feelings about Grayson .. They'll Pay Off Handsomely .. Gamblers might put hard money on it right now as odds must be appealing .. ?
OR we do what Powell has done at Charlton, loads of new players who bonded straight away , look were they are now!
I hope you're right JK, the consequences of another failure don't bare thinking about...
The play-offs this season are MASSIVE for Town, more so than last year really...another failure, a 3rd in a row, would be gut wrenching and not what Deano deserves at all.
Wethers, Powell was certainly the suprise package this time, he obviously had clarity of vision and a purpose, was able to find his men and gell them together...a rare feat indeed.
Am sure Grayson is fully aware of the situation and jas always been optimistic that we will make it through the play-offs...

Rest of the article is very well written though.
I expect Portsmouth to do a Plymouth though
I Cannot help Opening Myself up for Criticism and Setting Myself up for a right Humpty Dumpty fall BUT the most puzzling thing to me so far on 'Graysons Watch' is the Arismendi Acquisition ..
To Me He is SO NOT RIGHT FOR US and this Division .. Surely what we required in there was a Dominating Kicker and Basher of a Guy the likes of Darren Bullock or with a fierce head like Bobby Campbell
I've always been suspicious of JUST WHO IT IS at town at Identifies such targets and brings em in .. I've NEVER been ~ totally convinced that its the way we would all normally think (The Manager) and have always felt its got the hand on it of someone higher up ..
Maybe there's a thread in this (not me) .. Who Signs Our New Faces and in some cases .. WHY .. ? .. What do they bring to the party ..
I want to see Arismendi and Johnson in Midfield.
Don't know if this will happen though
Inter..
the way we played the last couple of games..no its not nailed on..
we are easily beatable and will lose if we dont score first..we havent scored for 3 games..
unless we go for the games i can see us struggling...i do think we might get one win, either scunny or yeovil but walsall will be a big test as they need the points.. if we have enough points before yeovil, this side will not bother turning up on the last day, bike riders lap of honour or not.. they just wont...
Surprise surprise 38 ~ I Disagree with you .. I think the Yeovil Match will be a Cracker .. Players Busting their guts to get the shirt & hold onto it for the playoffs .. ..
I will use a term of yours 38
We will play MK in the play offs
Stand on me
the brentford game last year was just a catalogue of stupid errors by the back 4, who all kept their places for the play offs..
we might get lucky and yeovil will have nothing to play for, but if we havent then it will be a well below average performance..
By the way I do expect us to win the play offs, my view on this hasnt changed, neither have the pay packets of the squad, when they do I may lower my expectations....
Look, a massive mistake was made getting rid of Lee Clark at that point in the season. We all know it, even Boots and 38. If we get promotion through the Play Offs we will need all the luck in thew world. Maybe, just maybe however looks like another season in Dic 3 and who knows what state the squad will be in then.
It really is make or break over the next few weeks....
I cant see
Notts County
Stevenage or Carlisle
Winning all their remaining games. It's not only Town who are under presuure to perform till the end of the season. I wonder if these clubs are looking at us with a minimum of a 7 point gap with 9 to play thinking they will catch us? I f--king doubt it really. They will be looking at each other seeing who can sneak 6th.
Andy .. Don't Presume to "know" what I think and certainly not with Leapy Lee Cark .. Let me give you a quote to end all quotes ..
If it was a choice between US Getting Promotion or Getting RID of Clueless Damaging Clark .. Then The Latter would be mine .. ..
That guy was The B I G G E S T Pile of Stinking She ite I've E V E R had the misfortune to have foisted upon me .. Well an Mirf like
IS THAT CLEAR ANDY .. ?
andy..if clark was up to what its alledged he was, then it wasnt a mistake... hoyle runs the club, he has to get shut of people who are undermining him/the club..
I havent seen the club being served notice of a writ for unfair dismissal, have you???
Clarks gone, he hasnt been paid up, what does that say about the incident???
Clark has also stopped moaning about it, maybe he thought he could do what players/agents think they can get away with all the time??
he couldnt with dean hoyle..
Quite a decent article in todays Examiner about him.. What a creepy crawly pic though .. urgh !! makes one wanna puke .. Says he doesn't like being outa work .. Says he's ad a few offers (a few) & he's appy to listen to ANY club regardless of their status (Battyeford .. ?) says he's been watching DVDs and going to games .. hey I don't like to see a man down and tbh someones gotta give him a chance ..
How about Donny .. ? .. ..
38 - He hasn't been paid up? Is that true? In other words - sacked - gross misconduct or whatever Town's staff handbook calls it. How do you know this info?
Has anyone been inspired by Grayson since his arrival at the Club???
Didn't think so!
Inspired .. ? .. Quite a Progressive ~ Proactive word for you to use mitzi/wakey .. .. I'm Impressed .. ..
I'd like to say I'm Really Warming To The Boss .. I do feel he's gonna Reward us all Big Time .. Mmmmmmm ~ Who'd You Most like looking Forward to see us Playing against in the Champ then guys .. ? ..
boots..
first id like to see us "play" against scunny, walsall and yeovil..
after that a couple more performances(we havent had one for a while) in the play offs might be nice..
Boots,
Football is all about results, yes?
Lee Clark's actual results record will stand comparision with ANY other Town Manager over the past 100 years or so, yes?
So how can you come out with such inaccurate and stupid comments you've made above?.
If you are going to continue your personal hate campaign against him, then for once in your life come up with some tangible figures to back up your silly claims, or just admit that your hate is a personal thing and has nowt to do with his results as a manager.
In Lee Clark I did Trust.
Inter..I did say 'assuming', because while it is 'amost' certain it is still a mathematical possibility that we could miss out to Carlise or Stevenage. We could easily lose our next 3 games, if we carry on like we are doing...but I accept we are odds on favourites to make it.
So, we are playing at home to MKDons in 1st leg. ? Assuming we have got ourselves together by this stage I can see a narrow win or a draw in this one. The 2nd leg at MKD doesn't worry me much, provided we are still in it. The away end is great and will hold 4,000+ Town fans who will be there on the Tuesday evening. This to me will be better than playing at home in the 2nd leg, we have had too many failures playing 2nd leg at home..(Barnsley, Peterbro ) and some great ones play 2nd leg away (Lincoln, Brentford ...) and the atmosphere at the away games was brilliant.
So that doesn't worry me, provided Grayson has sorted out the problems.
The main thrust of my article was to stress the particular importance of this seasons play-offs and to identify the consequences of failure. A 3rd successive failure could put the club back years, in more ways than one...whereas success will galvanise the club and will be a major boost to the Town..at last.
If ever there was a pivotal moment in Towns' history , this is it.
No its not ALL about results.. I thoroughly enjoyed The Bury Game .. Many Families Love a day out or W/end Away Taking in a Football game .. Some Can often be Neutrals where Result doesn't matter a jot ..
Look ~ Results climb you up n down the leagues BUT ask a goodly few Beautiful Game Football Supporters at Crewe n Swansea & wherever they are in the varying Leagues ..
They're Happy .. Granted Its not for everyone but some are 2 Intense
As is common knowledge to most on here HATE is NOT a word I have in my vocabulary .. Therefore I cannot & do not feel any Hatred what soever towards Leapy Lee ..
In HE You did trust .. Far more than most reasoned folks ever would
And Just Look Where it got you ..
Jacko, it's a great thread and I rewarded it as such with 5 stars!
I just find the asumptions, not just by you, that we won't make the Play Offs a little baffling.
One little mistake on your last comment though was we played Lincoln at home in the second leg. 2-0 down at half time and drew 2-2. This was def at home
jacko..
we are aided by the fact that the clubs below us have to play each other and two have to play wendies and the blades..if that wasnt the case i would be very much more worried than i am now.. scunny are just about safe, which might help or might not if we are as lethargic and nervous as we have been.. I wish to play the home leg first for all your reasons, although i dont see this town side reacting favourably to a large noisy away support in the second leg.. most of the best away results seem to have been in front of a few hundred town fans recently.. bury/oldham/rochdale etc didnt help we had more fans than the home team..
