If you take the word of a professional footballer who has played in an old firm derby, United V City, United V Liverpool, a certain Gordon Strachan, the most hostile of the lot is Southampton V Pompey, according to the little man.
He said that the hatred is so bad you can taste it

Excuse me barging in from nowhere fellas.

I haven't taken the time to read through all 8 pages of comments so this one may have already been mentioned: Ipswich v Naar-wich. A great deal of disharmony exists here (having heard this from a family member in Ipswich and the town just shuts down). Other than that I sense the Manchester City-Manchester United rivalry can be pretty horrendous.

Rap

I watched the film "Senna" last night and didn't realise how big a rivalry it was (not an F1 fan) they hated each other - fair play to Prost though he seemed genuinely saddened by Senna's death and helps with his charity now

Swansea v Cardiff could be another one - obviously not on the scale of some though.

I know when at the end it said that Prost was a trustee of Senna's charity - I felt much respect, and there may have been a man tear or two. A very emotional documentary.

Pray, I thought that when I watched senna, I used to be an avid formula one fan an used to love watching Prost an senna battle it out, I thought Prost came out on a bad light in that documentary.
