Fingers crossed we have shed the reputation of tight @rses! The support is still there, but attendance figures do not do the fan base justice.
Mike, fan base has shrunk since Bates has gotten here, needs some serious rebuilding.
My mate at portsmouth has told me a rumour going round that southampton might be sniffing around for jason pearce only a rumour at the moment

Green has already said he is leaving Derby after he rejected the last contract they offered him.
I know he had a bad injury last year but it looks like he has well and truely got over that and has featured regular for Derby this year.
Would welcome Green to the side, think the prospect of him and Clayton in the middle of the park is one that would work very well.
As for Pearce, cant say I know anything about him, however by the sounds of it he has all the atributes we are looking for and while signing one centreback is never going to be enough for us I think it would be a good start.
Would welcome Green to the side, think the prospect of him and Clayton in the middle of the park is one that would work very well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Green is nowhere near has good has howson, so its alot weaker than beginning of the season and at 29 is only going to get slower.
Type of player we've got under grayson and everyone said, good signing.
We need better players
You think a player slows down at 29?
What planet are you on.
Just look at his record in this league, tonne of experience and has been a regular starter for Derby for years and they were desperate to keep hold of him and have even rejected bids from Premiership teams for him.
He is exactly the type of player we need to get out of this league.
regarding Green, you have to ask why he has rejected a contract at Derby.
Does he want more money, to play Prem football etc....what is it that Leeds could offer that Derby a team currently above us can't?
....being a Ponty lad perhaps Green wants to play for his local team before his career ends....just a thought.
Could be lots of things, he has been there a few years now, maybe he just feels he needs a change.
I have mentioned I lived in Derby for a few years and while I was there I got to some of there games.
When I look at what we have missed this year in the centre of the park, and what I saw him contribue to that side I have to say that there is no way anyone can convince me that he would be a bad signing.
Like I said, at his best he is exactly what we need, and he plays his best pretty much constantly.
He would be a good signing.
Matty, how do you explain this about him:
Paul Green - Republic Of Ireland
"Paul who? Did absolutely nothing to help put pressure on the haemorrhaging wound that was Ireland's central midfield. Failed to sufficiently close down Russia's full-backs who were allowed
to whip in crosses at their leisure."

So you judge a player on one performance at international level rather than the 400 odd he has made at club level?
Also maybe you could explain why he has gone on to double his number of caps since that game if he is so terrible?
Seriously, one game against Russia makes him rubbish does it.
You just didnt scrape the bottom of the barrel with that, you put a whole in it...
Can we forget the Howson thing he has gone, get over it.
If you were / are happy with the appointment of moancock then you must stand by him & be happy with his signings, lets wait & see aye ?
Why can't you just answer a simple question Matty?
Sounds like Green had a bad game that night Jonty, everyone does now and again
A contract with less money was what was on offer Jonty.
that's a good enough reason IGOR!
What's your impression of him?
Lurker, agreed, shame Matty isn't quite as articulate as yourself.
I try to be articulate Jonty, though it may not always be the case <OK>
Being used as an emergency RB, and out wide since return from injury so hard to gauge, play him CM and you have yourselfs a good signing, great engine and 100% effort, be better than going back for the likes of Derry.
Jonty
Hes a good honest player. Box to box midfielder. He can control games. However, depends if he has got over his recent injury.
He would have many reasons for wanting to come to us rather than stay at Derby. All his family and friends live in Pontefract and surrounding area. I think he has young children/child so moving back to yorkshire might be an attractive option.
I asnswered the question Jonty, its not my fault you are too stupid to see that.
You are juding him on one game, I pointed out that he has played over 400 for his club and he has been wanted by premiership teams (all be it in a previous post).
I gave you an answer, stop trying to act like I didnt.
So in conclusion, I explain it by been only 1 game in over 400.
That simple enough for you?
I expect we'll get a few decent signings from Portsmouth. bates lucky day, Portsmouth have a squad that's too good to get relegated, full of decent players they need to offload to reduce the wage bill after going into administration. I expected this kind of thing would happen and we'd be given a false impression of the benefits of doing things on the cheap.
IGOR, I think he would be a better option than Derry too.
Frank, if as IGOR says he's being offers less money, can see why he's trying to leave.
Matty, I think Lurker did a better job than your eventual effort to be fair
Marko, there are always teams being relegated and players picked up from those teams, I have no problem with us benefitting from that situation same as many clubs have benefitted from our plight.
