Wonder if this has a 2000 limit on it.
Nah, im sure they wouldn't replicate it that specifically. Hopefully
So, as we were saying, Van Basten.
I agree with what most people say on him, he hasn't really got any track record.
He got Holland playing some fantastic football in my opinion, and he did an ok job with Ajax, and had he of stayed in the game after that i think he could have been pretty succesfull. Don't think he would have made it to the Mourinho level etc, but i think he could have done pretty well.
So i'm going to guess that the signings we are after have probably been talked over with the new manager who ever it is, and then Guus has advised on which ones, and now down to Roman and De Visser to pick and make happen.
Anyway im glad to have this sort of place. Last night I was chatting about Chelsea and it was like me chatting while having opinions of articles spewed back at me. No insight. Just print given volume.
Lol i know how you feel.
Think weve got a good bunch of lads on the other Obers Haven, all sensible and good opinions.
Then on the regular Chelsea board you have a lot of them calling for Romans head
Ill be ok with Van Basten if he gives us a sense of danger and unpredictability. It's been breaking my heart watching us this season. Its as if we've been stepping on the brakes every game...a bit heavier on the pedal each time.
Yeah, the general board is a bit ridiculous most of the time. Kids and ijits
Yeah, well i think any new manager could probably get us playing better than some of our games this season.
I wonder if Roman does pay for Boas release clause if we'll get players like Hulk & Falcao etc, having said that those two would probably cost about 80M, if not more.
Hopefully we'll have the new manager named by the start of next month, and hopefully some new players in before the 9th of July (first pre season game)
This is what Sky had to say about Van Baste as a candidate for the Chelsea job.
The former Holland boss has become a leading candidate following suggestions Hiddink recommended him to Abramovich as an alternative to himself. Despite being one of the greatest strikers of all time, Van Basten's managerial CV is not one that would usually interest Chelsea. His two major tournaments in charge of Holland ended with defeats in the first knockout rounds, while his one year at Ajax saw them fail to qualify for the Champions League.

That's probably the most important aspect of getting our team working again. The earlier the better. Right now im sure there is no real sense of team. Extremely depressing but realistic.
They're all waiting to find out their fates. It must be gloomy in the locker room.
The youth are important as well. We MUST allow a couple of them to take the next season
Hmm, not exactly promising.
Well Van Basten does ok with the youth. Like i said, even though at the time no one was to know Babel would flop like he did at Liverpool as he was one of the worlds rising talents at the time, he gave him a chance.
He gave several youngsters a starting role in the 2006 World Cup.
But yeah i think we need to get them as soon as possible (new signings)
Right, I'm off Steve. Ill catch you tomorrow. Off to the shop.
Yeah i'm hitting the bed mate, talk to you tomorrow.
I just hope he gets given time
Top video you posted before btw.
It seems as though he plays good ball but how sucessful has he been as a manager? I dont mean trophies but league performance, results etc?
At Ajax he had some bad defeats, but i blame the players more for that, even he said in the some games they seemed "scared" to push on for a result.
It was more of a mutual termination, i think he stepped down from the role because he knew he couldn't improve that team, and Ajax didn't have the funds that he wanted to get the team he wanted.
As for Holland he did ok, like in the video i posted he had the team playing some excellent football.
Got to the quarter finals in the Euro in 2008 and unbeaten in the 2006 World Cup up until round 16.
So his C.V as far as trophys go is empty. Good thing about him though is he dosen't take big ego's running the changeing rooms.
And i think had he of remained in management after Ajax in 2009, he could have been much more well known in management.
Santa....., is it really you?
Can't think of a good name yet.
Stan Laurel Fanclub will do for now
you'll find one mate.
I'm still surprised that 606 is open.
Lol hello mate.
I'm thinking Aguero will go to City, but we have pretty good odds to get him.
Can't see it though unfortunately.
Hello lads
Oh and I know I can be dumb at times (the fact that I got fraped a couple hours ago proves my point), but who's this Stan Laural guy? I'm guessing Obers, although I'm probably wrong
Interesting. If we get Aguero is there much point in Neymar though? That's why I dont think we'll get him. Anyway, Citeh will probably get Kun OR Sanchez. Hopefully we can get the one they don't if we get Neymar too, we wont have any wingers, and so we'll fall into the trap that's impossible to get round.
