How high are you setting it? Lukaku isnt a million miles off Costa, and wouldn't it be great to turn Lukaku into the next Falcao, Cavani, Rooney, Ibra, etc rather than wasting him?

Ok, personally, I'd buy one world class striker, find a third choice guy (either keep one we have, or Bamford, or find some other old guy Jose likes Eto'o style)...

and have Lukaku as no2.

I said nothing he has done on loan suggests he is good enough to be our main striker that is a world away from saying he has been unimpressive.

Jay Rodriguez has been very impressive for Southampton this season but I wouldn't want us to buy him to lead the line next season.

I would like him to show the strong desire to stay and fight to be our number 1 striker, but if he lacks that desire, then sell him to a mediocre team where medicore desire belongs.

Lukaku will become the standard of someone like Dzeko. A very accomplished goalscorer/striker at the highest level but not a great striker and someone who shouldn't be the main striker for a team with ambitions to be the best in the world.

There is a lot of raw talent in Lukaku, I think comparing him to Dzeko (who I like) is a bit unfair.

I can't call it yet, he is still only 20 ffs,

I would prefer it that he re-evaluates himself as a player at a very early stage of his career and be patient and stay with us.........
