Anelka can only be bothered when he wants too I don't like that attitude, when he wants to be a right grumpy git you will see it on the pitch because he will slow everything down and do next to nothing. Now that he has comfirmed that he is leaving in January I think AVB should freeze him out of the squad not good for the squad.

I have a big problem with Kalou yes he is direct for sure but he always tries to hard with his trickery but always fails resulting in him losing the ball. As for his passing and shootin pffft he has the be the worst of the lot.

AVB knew there were big egos here from his time at Chelsea as an assistant to Mourinho,I doubt he would have taken up the Chelsea job If he knew he couldn't handle the big egos.
He has obviously tried to keep them to see If he can turn them around from that dire 09-10 season but It obviously hasn't worked at the moment.

He has to now exert some authority on the team and the only way he can do that is by dropping Lampard and Terry for a few games that will show a real statement of intent.

Also does anyone else think it's a real shame about Alex's injury problems? If he hadn't had them (the latest one seems to have taken a big chunk out of him) he and Luiz would have been a really great partnership. Before his latest injury Alex was alot faster (both with running and reactions), turned faster, was muuuch stronger in the air and I think he also read the game better in 10/11. He's still a pretty good defender now mind. Just hasn't had the best of seasons
